Get someone else to do it for you. Some top raiders have vMA weapons and never cleared it themselves with friends doing the deed for them. Some have sold clears for real world money but this is less common.

So never. Thanks.

If you’re interested, this build makes vMA feel almost easy. Not sure how this’ll change come Monday, however, but in the PTS, Fetcher Infection and Winter’s Revenge are both quite strong, so this may actually still be OKish with a few modifications.
Gear: Necropotence, False God’s Devotion, and Iceheart. If you don’t have FGD, Julianos works too, if you want an easy, craftable set. I ran tri stat enchants on my head and shoulders for vMA, but do what works for you. You’ll likely want to switch to the Thief mundus as well (Iceheart procs when you deal critical damage, so you want your crit chance up, and it’ll be low given the lack of a full-on crit set like Mother’s Sorrow).
Front bar: Degeneration (in this next update you my want to try using Fetcher Infection instead), Force Pulse, Enchanted Growth, Crystallized Slab, Bird of Prey, eternal guardian
Back bar: Any combination of skills, really- Blockade of Fire (consider switching to Winter’s Revenge in 5.2), Shalks (I don’t actually run this in vMA, ever. Feels clunky), Soul Trap (likely useless in 5.2), Necrotic Orb, Lotus, Elemental Drain, Netch… whatever works, plus the bear. The front bar’s the important part- you’ve got a strong DoT, a spammable that does splash damage, minor berserk + mobility, and a crap ton of magicka that can be used to spam slab + growth, which has saved me many times in stage 5 and a few others.
I’ve got Flawless Conqueror on my magden using this build. No issues with DPS checks and without using any sigils- I actually screwed things up badly in stage 6 and ended up with all obelisks covered. I was able to burn the boss without bothering to deal with the obelisks. I find magden in general to be really underrated -especially for solo play, where I’d say it’s the single strongest class- and I think it really shines in vMA, where you can make use of your mobility (wings!), self-applied buffs (sorcery, prophecy, minor berserk), tankiness (slab, frost cloak, leeching vines), and fantastic heals (enchanted growth, etc) while dealing respectable DPS.
I have atrocious rng on my character and need the staff for my build. It took me 200 attempts to get my burning spell weave amulet. As a magicka warden this trial takes a looooong time to do solo. Please tell me there is something I am missing? Or do I have to make my peace just knowing I'll never get the gear in there?
