Really losing interest :( and I love this game

zos I beg you, please add something like a 2 man PVE arena or pvp type of arena thing, I don't know how but battlegrounds was one of the best additions to the game imo. So something like that again. I would love to know if they had anything like this up their sleeve, or if it's just more story content - which is great - but can only hold my interest for so long.

I don't want to quit this game as I have over 4k hours clocked and soooo many memories here, I want to keep playing but I need new ENGAGING content. like bgs was.

and PLEASE please add more cool rewards to the game instead of to the crown store or only available for gems (more cool mounts available ingame without spending money would be amazing, more actual nice costumes, nice pets.. etc..). This is so unmotivating and if they were available as ingame rewards I'm sure more people would feel more incentive to play the content, or replay it until they get it for example if it was RNG. even that would be better than crates. I work full time but with saving money and buying, yknow IRL things, even I find it difficult to afford all the things I want that are in the crown store.

This is just the life cycle of a gamer with a specific game. It's okay to move on. You never know, you might find that interest again. But trying to force yourself to play is ultimately going to kill off whatever remaining interest you have. Take a break.

I know how you feel though with the invested time and money you put into this game. But the way Zos is dealing with performance is horrible. They seem to be quite good at killing the fun factor, class identity, and the fast paced combat that was always enjoyed except for another dark chapter....MW

I still find fun in the game but not as enthusiastic to say the least.

Adopting a religious devotion to specific video games is not necessary. Play something else. No one will be offended if you entertain yourself with something else for a while.

Just take a break. After Elsweyr dropped I got burnt out left for two months only logging on for the login bonus (yeah didn't even do daily writs). After a long enough break you'll get back on and actually want to play or you'll realize you don't like the game anymore and move on.

I think this is not a PvP game and never was. I recommend playing Planetside2. There you have PvP, just PvP and only PvP.

And yes, this option is already in game. It is called "Duel". You can duel pretty much every where in game but when I player has disabled it you can not gank him. In this is good. Very good.

Hear ya op. I’m getting there myself. So bad I started getting in to housing.

There’s plenty of stuff to do. But never enough people to do it with. That’s the real challenge I’m facing. Maybe they can add some more solo or duo stuff. Something that would be fun to repeat.

Don’t look at the time spent as reason that you should stay — it has already been its own reward as you have said, giving you lots of fun and great memories. I reached that point with another MMO for other reasons and decided I needed something different, a break at least, and now I am here and loving ESO.

Pretty sure that is not want OP is talking about. I do not think anyhow who has been in game for any length of time could write in complete sentences if they were oblivious to the fact dueling is already in game. OP is also asking for better rewards. Since dueling does not offer rewards at all it does not really fit well.

I do understand your pain OP - if old players will start to move on then we will see who will pay for the updates, because surely it won't be casuals/newbies. This game desperatly needs some good PVP modes. People bashing on you here are just short-minded and ignorant. In the same time threads which are asking for adding some garbage to clownstore get much more attention - "Oh, I would pay for that!". Hahah it's so pathetic, sometimes I lose my faith in humanity.

ZO$ won't listen to you, or anyone. You're just another cash cow in the barn with only one purpose. What you think is good for the game doesn't matter to them. They only think about what they can do to the game in order to fatten their already bloated pockets.

Do yourself a favor mate. Take a breather. Quit the game for a few months. Play other MMOs or a single player game. It will do you good then check the forums and see if somethings new and come back, or don't either way a break do us all good.

To add my testimonial to this thread...
I took a break after getting burned out. Nothing was interesting anymore, everything felt like a chore, ESO didn't feel like a 'fun game' anymore.
Came back to ESo after about three months and it was a blast. Dungeons became endless hours of fun again, had to regrind for items for gold, started a new toon and didn't assign CP until he got to Coldharbour as a challenge.
When a game becomes work or boring, keep life spicy and full of zest. Try a different dish.

The game just got done adding new costumes, mounts and pets during the Elsweyr event, not to mention the new pets and cosmetics that are typically available on a monthly basis via the log in rewards. So I don't understand your criticisms there. I already have more costumes and pets than I know what to do with.

Far as adding a 1v1 arena to the battleground roster, I don't really have a problem with that just so long as there is a reasonable time limit attached so fights between evenly matched opponents don't drag on forever.

They add a basic mount with the Chapter and any reskins are available for crowns... my criticism there is that these flashy mounts should be available in game by completing content, especially as they’re reskins and i’m assuming don’t take much time to create.. the senche raht mount for example is available for 400 gems, so you have to buy crown crates with the CHANCE to get enough gems depending on how much real money you spend on them. you can also buy crowns with gold but at the end of the day this is all done by someone using their real money to buy crowns in exchange for the product. i’m not 100% against this as I know full well that they need to make money somewhere, but the IN GAME, EARNABLE mounts and costumes are really lacklustre. a few body markings for the login reward.... pls. More stuff like the Elinhir Arena Lion pet and Gladiator costume, that would be amazing. The vet sunspire HM no death speedrun mount is the only decent mount atm that can be earned through actually playing the game, afaik. that’s what i meant.

I agree with this alot. I try to keep up to date to see whats changing. At the end of the day though this game just isnt for me anymore and ive moved on. Hopefully someday we get eso classic lol

i said it several times - id like to have more side activities - that keeps you engaged outside of stories... look at guild wars as an example

I'd like

- some sort of cool racing game for example interesting race tracks where you can race others on mounts for prices (or even bet on other players)
- some type of battle royal survival game could be fun! maybe also something where all cp and equipment is disabled and only a limited number of skills for everyone allowed
- some sort of soccer / football type game
- jumping or razing puzzles for groups and guilds
-an arena where you can let your pets fight other pets

etc. etc. there are so many possible ideas that would free up some time for zos to get out of the story content treadmill

I also think they should introduce more randomized elements for future arena's... i simply get bored after the 10th time doing the exact same arena the exact same way...

A randomized solo dungeon-labyrinth where you need to avoid traps, enemies, find a treasure or beat a boss could also be fun...

I've taken my first break since console launch night.

I havent played the game since the Scale breaker patch notes came out.

I dont have any confidence in the combat team.

As a result I've invested all my time and money into BDO since it dropped on PS4.

If the pendulum keeps swinging back and forth I might not return. Time will tell.

I've played ESO for four years almost continuously. That is a testament to how good this game is. Even then you're right, game's can't hold your attention indefinitely. Take breaks, play something else. Be it weeks or months but eventually you'll find a renewed interest again after being away.

It is OK to do other things, they get your money either way, provided you continue to pay for the content you like. I'm sure they really like folks like me who buy annual subs for ESO+ as well as chapters but are only a drain on the servers half the year or less.

Only time I've played since I finished the last chapter content (twice) was to log in and do my part in the Dragon treasure thing (new solo content included) and to grab a couple of freebies that I was aware of (latest statue and twitch drops).

This. However, I would expect 4v4 or even 8v8 would have more appeal than 1v1. I think there is a reason most instanced PvP is group game group.
