I think a lot agree that pvp was just more fun in the past. Personally I believe it is because a big core of what makes this game fun (being able to design and theorycraft your character, with only imagination as the limit) is taken away, because of constant nerfs. The playstyles that we used to enjoy in the past stop being viable and that is incredible frustrating. Some things in the past have been clearly overtuned so that you were forced to using it, which is a problem and should be nerfed. This should be the exception, not the rule however.
When it comes to stamina playstyle, we have this problem of having our options taken away or simply not being there.
in the past I always felt like 2h, dw and s/b had a good balance between them. S/b offers tankiness and major defile and imo the most rewarding playstyle. Dualwield offered bleed dot that was really strong, and gave pressure you could not find in the other 2 lines. 2handed offeres excute, snare removal and major brutality. you wanted to have all 3 but it wasn't possible. This is good balance design between skills at least
In current live version we have the problem that s/b was completely butchered. Had you removed major defile from s/b skill line it would have been nerfed by plenty, but zos went that extra mile to ensure it would fit the garbage instead. Dizzy swing at the moment is the only real viable spamable left in the generic spamable-arsenal, as zos buffed healing so much that you need a LOT of damage to kill people now. In no cp, the 16% damage nerf to dizzy means that the damage output of this skill is downright bad. Off Balance is a great mechanic, but not worth a whole lot if you as some classes simply cannot have the damage to kill anymore.
Dizzy has been through a rolercoaster of nerfs and buffs over the past 5 months, with no obvoius end goal or purpose in mind. On CP you mitigate some of the lost damage, but in no cp this is just not the case. Instead of nerfing everything that people use, start buffing stuff that people don't use. Let s/b be a viable frontbar.. let dual wield be , or bow. I do not understand why zos is so adament in shutting down playstyles accross the board
