Can we have an update on the Blastbones issue please?

Blastbones is still struggling with pathing and detonating upon reaching its target, along with slow-walking. We know the combat team is aware, but could we possibly get an update on the fix? Any news on how things are coming along? It is a major part of the Necromancer's skillset that isn't functioning properly.

    Agreed.

    It's like all of a sudden it gains a sense of self preservation and struggles against its master's orders to blow up.

    I've gotten so tired of it I started playing my magplar instead. It just ruins my fun when it walks so slow.

    I agree, this should be a priority for correction.

    Its such a fundamental skill for a necro, because it creates a corpse at the target location, required to buff your Boneyard and execute the tether skills etc.

    I think the skill should be changed to a flying "spirit", that flies as the crow does so to speak directly to the target, Im no coder but perhaps that would solve some pathing issues...

    Personally I still love playing my magcro dps and my necro tank. Thankfully for me issues with targeting and pathing are not constant and fairly rare.

    I agree with your idea, @Grianasteri
    It would certainly solve the pathing issue and, with a flashy aura, would look cool too.

    Hey @ZOS_GinaBruno , sorry to tag you for this, but could you possibly see if there is an update for us? Us Necros would really appreciate it! Maybe pass on that suggestion as well, if it hasn't already been brought up. I like it!

    The skill just needs to be changed to something else. Everyone knew that ZOS wouldn't be able to program their AI to work properly, it has NEVER been that way in the history of the game.

    Honestly just redesign it to function similar to shalks, or have it be a delayed PBAOE burst.

    Considering it likes to stand near enemies instead of blowing it up, why not just make it into a melee skelly or zombie tempo pet?

    Maybe then it would actually contribute in melee rather than just standing there uselessly.

    This is the only solution there is simply no way it will ever work in pvp.

    They can't even really adjust it in its current form either since to much speed and accuracy would be op and lowering the damage for more speed/insta cast would make it a crap spammable necro don't need.

    I couldn't Agee more with a complete rework of this garbage skill

    I think ZOS needs to be commended for NOT making a new skill just like Shalks etc. Part of the appeal of the Necro is how unique and different some of its skills are, both aesthetically and practically. Lets not bang a drum trying to make Necro just have different versions of other class skills please.

    My idea is keep it as is per se, but change it to a direct line of sight flying "spirit", which one assumes would remove pathing issues at least.

    Maybe it could be some sort of zombie/skeletal familiar, one that's temporary, but is primarily for support and not combat (For example it could buff all your summons and/or your damage or something).

    I agree. Necromancer is aesthetically and playstyle-wise a very unique class. Unfortunately, its uniqueness also brings unique problems which take time to iron out. I don't mind that, but I would really like a progress update, even if it is just "we're still looking into it".

    Yes, simply switch the current spirit mender and blastbones models. Skeleton healer, Spirit Missile. If you use the Archer/Mage you now have two similar looking minions as well.

    That could work. IIRC Ulfnor in Fang Lair has an attack where a ghost charges at you directly and quickly, no parking issues or AI there.
