Huge mammoth tooth

Has anyone gotten one in the past 6 months that can confirm they are still dropping? I’ve legit spent upwards of 100 hours farming this collectible and have killed thousands of mammoths but no tooth. None of the other collectibles took even close to as long as this one (I only have 3 collectibles left between all achievements).

It’s a little discouraging because I genuinely believe there is a chance that the rng is bugged and that all of my efforts are pointless (there was previously a bug with delve bosses in Cyrodiil that ZOS admitted to and later fixed). Can anyone confirm that they have gotten one recently and that they are in fact dropping albeit at an extremely low rate?

I've spent most of my time over the last couple weeks farming the huge mammoth tooth and was wondering the same thing.

Six months is unfortunately just a wee bit of time compared to how long I have been looking for an Ogre Toe Ring. I'm dropping Ogres eight or more at a time and not one of them has the decency to wear a toe ring. They will keep dying until I finally get it then they can live in peace.

And nah achievements shouldn't be account wide. It felt cheesy when you could bank a trophy fish, pick it up on another character and get credit for it towards the achievement.

So where do you guys like to farm the mammoth? I prefer the mammoths around the giant/mammoth world boss in southern Eastmarch. I found another spot in Malabar Tor in an Orc settlement where there are 5 or 6 non aggressive timber mammoths with a really high respawn rate. The mammoths of northwestern Rift are ok for a change of scenery but the respawn rate is a little slow for me.

It’s definitely still dropping. Got one within the last month, was either in Eastmarch or Wrothgar.

Yes, got it in Malabal Tor not long ago. I am now stuck on the ectoplasmic discharge, wraith shackle and crypt jar. Have been trying to get these for a while to complete achievement

I got them on several alts so yes it drops. I farm them in a circle north of Skalar's Hostel in Wrothgar. Got some durzogs around as well if you are after their skin too.

Thanks for the replies everyone, my fears have been assuaged xD. And no durzog skins needed. Only mammoth tooth, cruel collar and stony heart left.

Drops are weird in this game. I have had characters farm over 1000 clanfaars and never get the dewclaw. Been playing my new warden, went into wailing prison - Dewclaw from clanfaar number 3.

What would be cool is if these trophies were actual trophies that we could display, not simply items that count toward earning an achievement but are otherwise good for nothing other than selling to NPC merchants. For instance, how about if there were display cases you could put in your housing, and as you find these trophies you can add them to their reserved spots in the display case?

Only if we can buy the furnishings from a vendor after completing the achievement. Because I've sold every single one of them

I was more thinking they would show up in your collectible furnishings tab the same way other collectibles do.

Alright for real, is there someone at ZOS reading these forums and manipulating our rng? I’ve been farming this thing for 6 months and nothing. I make a post about it and within 24 hours the next day I get one on my 4th mammoth.... very suspect...
