Let's talk about it, what could be changed or done to make this "mediocre spammable" up to par with lava whip and jabs? Should they add a bleed or what?

    I think increasing its damage would make it a decent spammable

    It's AoE, please don't compare it to low range, dodgable Whip or hard to proc Power Lash.

    Compare it to Deep Slash, Carve or Jabs, sure.

    I personally like it. The heal is scaling off my 50k health so it works great. I don't like the colour of it though, looks like a Warden ability.

    Yeah for a tank it's fine. But for dps it's trash. And the color should of been black and purple for the magicka morph. The stam version is fine.

    The damage component just needs more generous scaling on wpn/spell + stam/mag. That's literally it.

    It already works well as a heal for high HP tanks and looks very cool, no changes needed there.

    I mean, it's in the tanking tree.

    Skulls and Bones are supposed to be the damage skills.

    This! The game has a problem in which people want the same abilities across all classes. Part of why we are in a situation in which classes have lost so much "feel" is that players ask for standardized abilities. I could ask for cyrstal frags to be spammable as well (without the cast time) but it is part of the play.

    It's a skill that is weak as a spammable 1 vs 1, but gains considerable utility in group fights, just like carve. So like with everything, think of the content you are playing and switch it up. If you are worried about a spammable dps, use skull!

    And skulls is also garbage because it feels clunky while using the ability it needs to feel smooth like some of the other long range abilities like poison injection etc.

    I get this sneaking suspicion that it is meant to be used as a conal AoE attack with a healing component against trash packs by Tanks, not DPS, and probably won't ever be a proper "spammable" because not everything is about DPS... 🤔

    I use it to level other skills in Craglorn for AOE massacres and thats about it. It seems to be a decent tank tool in AOE packs but I am not sure since I have never tanked with my Necro. I think it is ok as it is personally.

    The skill does exactly the same damage as impulse, sap essance/power extraction, deep slash etc etc, it is an aoe spammable. The damage is fine for that, the only thing I would change, is to make the damage frost damage. All other damage skills the necro has are elemental, so it is strange that this skill, at least the Magic morph, as the other morph is already disease, is basic magic damage, this would make sense in the necro toolkit. Plus it would add another way for tanks to apply minor maim.

    I really like this idea, and I never thought about it being just base magic damage while morphed, that seems like an oversight or just silly.

    Dude using that on a group of enemies fully heals me lol. Its fine how ut us as its more of a heal then a dps skill.

    it's not meant to do massive dps, it's a utility tool. Maybe you can ask WillhelmBlack how he is using it where he finds it to be great. From the tool tip, which I'm guessing you are looking at the stam morph, you have spammable heal and off balance which acts as a stun. Again, utility and obviously meant for larger scale.

    As far as you not liking skulls (I personally have no issue) Do you think it might just be something that doesn't fit a "personal taste" instead of something really impacting gameplay? I think it's positive that it floats, like frags, to give some game play and reaction.
