So what's the official lore for Sai Sahan and his return - IF he was [spoiler]?

Alright, anyone unfamiliar with the Main quest should stop reading this, now! Spoilers ahead.

But majority do know his possible fate during the MQ.
I've been absent from the ESO news for a while, so did Zenimax and its lore team offer any explanation how Sai returned when he was sacrificed? How was that possible?

Though we got to choose, the choice for the story as written by the lore masters is that he was not sacrificed.

The official lore is that if you sacrificed Sai Sahan you are a terrible person and your choices don't matter.
