osrs and classic wow were both massive success having more players then the "original" games. can we get a classic eso? its a win win situation. We the players get to play a fun game again and you the developers make more money which seems to be the only interest for ZOS anymore. what are your thoughts?

    WoW is 15 years old, ESO is 5. Seems a little early to have a "classic".

    I don't think this would be very succesfull. A lot of people hated vanilla eso..Including me. I did not like playing until one Tamriel was released

    Runescape is at no comparison to ESO lmao.. osrs was succsessful because jamflex screwd up the game so bad they had a dead game. + the OS updates are run 80% of the community votes.
    Comparing eso to any old mmo is pointless, ESO is still a child

    ESO has always been a great, but tragically flawed game. There is no "golden age" to return to.

    I would like to go back to what was it 1.6? Tha patch before Morrowind. That was about as good as this game ever was imo.

    Irrelevant when you started playing. You haven't made a coherent answer yet why you want "ESO Classic", nor you have defined what you mean by this.

    FYI Im here since January 2014 Beta non stop. Do you want me to provide proof so you can answer to my question?

    The reason it would not work is simple. Classic WoW, back when it was regular WoW, was incredibly popular and well received. ESO was poorly received and not very popular when it was first released, and needed a lot of work and redesign to get it to the stage where it started gaining popularity.

    There is no point releasing a "Classic" version of something if you are just releasing a broken product that was not widely liked.

    WoW was the first so succesfull MMO so it has a lot of "nostalgia power". It is nostalgia that made classic WoW so succesfull.
    Making classic ESO would cost money even if the code is there and require allocating servers.
    Furthermore the only reason I could think of for having classic ESO is the ability to play PvP without all changes that people don't like. This would split PvP population and only make PvP less enjoyable.

    "ESO Classic" wont ever happen, too small playerbase (of those which would be interrested) and the game was seriously flawed on launch.
    And all the people that are done with ESO wont return for "ESO Classic" because there aint enough nostalgia built up over just the 5 years since release.
    And in general MMORPGs are a dying genre, so revamps are less and less likely to happen.
    All the zoomers these days wanna play battle royales and other kinds of FPS games, because it doesnt take as much time investment to get into it.

    • Veteran instead of championpoints ?
    • Characters limited to their first zone ?
    • Leveled zone ? (when you could be killed by a muscrab)
    • totally unbalanced classes, DK overpowered and sorcerers / magblade spamming tp/cloak infinite time, unkillable templars healers doing no dmg until spamming radiant destruction...
    • best pve dps limited to 15k

    I don't think you understand the concept of nostalgia glasses, but I promise you... ESO sucked. Hard. Or was a horrible game.

    I get you may be upset right now, but I promise you the game you want never existed. If it came out again today, you'd cry out in pain playing it, compared to the game we now have.

    Except performance. Performance was nice.

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).
