Hammer needs to go

The hammer weapon in pvp needs to go. Not because it is too strong but because the server can’t handle it. A whole faction will stack on the hammer causing those trying to get to a keep to defend being stuck in loading screen. Worse than that when it does load and you are already dead more often than not you can’t load again. Until zos improve the server this weapon needs to go. A faction can spend an hour defending keeps just for them to go because you get stuck in loading screens multiple times.

    I don't get the loading screens, I just get disconnected. The odd thing is some log ins are better than others. Meaning that I can get bad lag and disconnected a couple of times within 30 minutes and the third time I log in everything is fine. Same size groups fighting and everything. Very odd.

    There was only one time I actually went close to the hammer carrier and it was at our keep they were taking and holy wow I thought the server was crashing. I swear the entire EP server was on the hammer and I couldn't even get a skill out and was instantly dead.

    Never went close to the hammer again. Hammer + Zerg = Ridiculous.

      Yeah. If performance is a true concern of ZOS's the hammer should go. It encourages much of the total population online to move to the hammer. The server cant handle it.

      -Wreck n destroy everything in path charge forward....
      -Hammer gets turned over
      -Everything gets wrecked and destroyed back again...
      The only time it is beneficial is for an Emp dethrone or Scroll recovery...but these select times do not warrant the addition of this Hammer...more time n energy should of been put into Server performance than adding this

      The hammer's ult is a lag wave. Any incoming character either friend or foe, must dodge the wave or get kicked from server. Working as intended.

      On pc/na Kaal, I’ve yet to be kicked from the being around the hammer. I’ve even killed the hammer carrier (not by myself obviously). Even thought I’m not having such a bad time as you all are, I still don’t like the hammer. Sheo can go back to heck with it.

      I clicked on this thread expecting a much different complaint, but I'm really glad someone brought this up. I like the addition of the hammer (except it spawns behind AD's gate every single time I'm on. Weird coincidence?) because it brings a different feel to the battles, and it pulls everyone to one location so small scale groups can do go small scale thing without getting zerged down by 8576983593487 players on a single faction, provided the SS group goes nowhere near the hammer. That aside though, I have also felt the lag wave radiating out from the hammer's epicenter, and it is indeed a problem.They need to do away with keep state/lvl transitions. The hammer causes rapid transitions and the server can't keep up. We get lagged out/loadscreeened/dced every time the keep upgrades, downgrades, or flips, and this doesn't help matters any.

      It's funny though how an entire server will rally around the hammer, yet nobody rallies around or for the emp any more. The hammer has all but made the emp nothing more than a title.

      In addition to the massive lag and loadscreen issues others have already described, I've also observed another highly detrimental effect of the hammer:

      When attempting to ride out towards a keep/outpost where the hammer is currently located, I can never reach the destination without getting affected by the dreaded "stuck on textures" bug.

      It's not just me, either - when this happens, I usually see plenty of other players visibly stuck on the very same texture seam.

      In extreme cases, it can take as long as TWO MINUTES for my character to get "unstuck" so I can move again. GG ZOS :D

      Because of that (and the massive lag it causes), I avoid the hammer like the plague.
      If I happen to find it when it spawns, then behind my alliance's gates it goes, until the timer expires and the stupid thing goes back to Oblivion where it belongs.

      Hey remember b4 the hammer we told zos the server couldn't handle a certain amount of players in one spot?

      And what did they do? Add an object that will have all 3 faction stack in one spot.

      They do not play this game and they will only make things worse. So just stop trying.

      Ouh....it is always fun to head for it and kill the person holding that has the hammer. Most are not really prepared for it and are disorganized.

      I don't zerg but I find the hammer amusing and especially the damage you can inflict on keeps. Just imo.

      Though the server is far past the hammer and has been for a long time just with everyday stuff. The hammer won't make a difference.

      And....

      Because, they didn't take the servers down for a clean this week (as I like to call it), the game is already starting to visibly suffer extra lag (Alinor, Rimmen etc) so lord only knows what the campaigns are going to be like now with the hammer popping in and out of Cyro all week.

      Should be am interesting week to say the least. :(

      ZOS all play on their own private server or PCNA.

      They don’t care about PCEU

      If it works for them, in their office, it’s all good. No remedial action required.
