Melee attacks from invisible player?

Pretty new to PVP and playing on the Bahlokdaan campaign. Gradually improving but still inexperienced.

Last night I was taking melee attacks / being killed from player(s) who remained invisible for the majority of their attacking duration - except the final strike when they’d de-cloak (my health bar now down to zero) then t bag me when I died.

I play as a NB and thought I was somewhat familiar with cloak and specifically what de-cloaks you.

Is this a legit skill or perhaps something like a de-sync issue between client and server side?

Most probably they hit you with a melee DoT like Rending Slashes and recloaked.

The mysterious "they" have figured out how, either by choise or just horrible internet, to ani cancel a heavy with an ability and cast stealth before the game has registered the uncloak and you get this. It's a desync, like getting 4 snipes to land in 1 second
