So I wanted to make a Roman Legion style for my Imperial Stamplar and thought it came out well and wanted to share in case someone was interested for their own character.
I used the following:
Medium Militant Ordinator chest, gloves, boots, belt.
Light Mazzatun legs.
Medium Imperial shoulders 2.

SirGabenOfSteamia✭✭✭✭I personally go for an Imperial Centurion sort of armour style, which I suppose is more or less the same as a Roman Cosplay. Try it out if you want.
Heavy Silver Dawn Chests (Ebonshadow Light also works very well),
Max Level Heavy Imperial Shoulders,
Light Sapiarch Gloves
Heavy Honour Guard Legs
Heavy Militant Ordinator Boots,
Max Level Heavy Imperial Belts,

Commancho✭✭✭✭✭I can't post pictures, because I don't have access to my pc to October, but try this: heavy imperial helmet, apostle chest (I think it was medium or heavy - one with tabard), mazzatun legs, some sandals and leather gloves up to your preference. People often do screens with me xD0 -

Dreyloch✭✭✭✭✭@Matthros Very nice. This guy looks more like a commander though. If you want the rank and file soldiers then you'd want to get some of the Arena gladiator items from Cyrodiil. (yeah I know, you probably don't PvP) But the items come in rune boxes, so with a little searching you could find them. Might be a little costly though, as it takes a good deal of PvP to obtain them."The fear of Death, is often worse than death itself"0 -

I like the female statue style, even bought that statue to replace the Orc in the Forsaken Stronghold.0 -
Shezzarrine✭✭✭✭✭For a look that us more along the lines of a foot soldier than a centurion or general, I use
Silver dawn heavy helmet
Silver dawn heavy chest
Order hour heavy shoulders
Order hour medium bracers
I use abahs watch girdle but this can be different things
Silver dawn heavy legs
Order hour medium boots
For dw I use the order hour sword and dagger because (depending on the time period) a legionnaire would carry his gladius and a smaller dagger in the same shape as a gladius
