Basicaly, OP doesn't even need to set up DoTs half the time, doesn't have purifying light to set up. Just cast eclipse and some ez heals and jabs the way to victory.

So is this video supposed to show case how brain dead OP templars are this patch? Am I missing something?

Magplar is the easiest and most op class in the game, I have no idea what zos are thinking about.

Agreed whole heartily. Some of these snares need to be removed since jabs are 40% snare after 1 hit on top other snares. Sweep should cast more ult than 70 and have a cast time like incap.

Wow, nerf magplar posts are something I thought I'd never see.

Yes, magplars are in a great position THIS patch. When dots and Living Dark get nerfed, they'll be in the same place they were the previous patch - even worse since Entropy was nerfed (their only reasonable source of Major Sorcery) and their dot damage nerfed as well.

I thought snares do not stack anymore. So a snare on more than one skill is useless.

Also, I find snare the most useless debuff on me in an actual fight on mag, stam, or hybrid builds.

Snares are redundant on magplar, I’m pretty sure most Templar’s would prefer to lose some of them to get something that’s actually valuable. Ritual should be down in most of your fights which applies a snare way before the snare of sweeps. Sweeps doesn’t simply add a snare btw it’s a specific hit that adds it.

Magplar isn’t even op nor has it been the easiest in terms of kill potential. I 1vxed multiple magplars this update and I’m confident I’d kill the majority of meta hoppers in a 1v1 since I run a build that hard counters magplar. The majority of them don’t even know how to maintain a proper rotation, just try to toppling and crescent you to death.

"Player sourced snares are now additive with movement speed, rather than multiplicative. This will reduce the overall effectiveness of snares in PvP scenarios." Any PTS people notice this change? Thoughts? If its significant enough this is a great change!

I gotta disagree, magplar is pretty *** good and I have a WAY easier time 1vXing and killing people really fast (this is WITHOUT PotL mind you - using living dark instead for now) as oppose to 1vXing on mag/stamsorc magdk magnecro. I too have come across a LOT of templars who think the class can carry them and it cant. The difference between a experienced templar and some meta hopper is easily spotted. Same could be said with any FotM class I suppose. But for those who understand the class and its pros and cons there are so many more pros than cons. And I wish other classes had more pros than it has cons (looking at you necro)

For real, its the new-old magsorc. Moved onto trying to make magDK and magnecro work (my magdk got *** on today lmao so I gotta go back to the drawing board. Magnecro surprisingly works in its old set up of mine in this patch.

Because that playstyle counters nightblades. I assure you the 70% Sweeps snare is not wasted against those and Toppling / Crescent / Solar Barrage / Sweeps / Overwhelming Surge is totally the way to go. When a templar tries to run a proper rotation on my melee magblade with, for the sake of the argument, Entropy, Ele Drain and Purifying Light, I breathe a sigh of relief, because they leave me free reign while they set up their burst. Then I just cloak away before Purifying Light pops and I have dodge roll or shade away maybe just once, when they try Sweeps. It's those that spam Sweeps who are the nightmare. Sad, but true.

You got something that counters them? Fair enough. I'm not surprised. It's rock, paper, scissors, as usual. As a matter of interest, what is it? Stamden dizzying burst build?
