So what exactly was patched Tuesday PC-NA? Ability Lag terrible tonight

Anyone else noticing some horrible ability lag in Kaal? I mean, I am also seeing where I am fighting a couple guys, with another guy and everyone disappears, then I suddenly teleport back effectively 100' to where we were before.

PTS is up and running. In my experience whenever PTS is running the lag in PVP gets worse. It could be my imagination or it could be that they share resources.

It has def been a major lag fest the past few days in Cyro.

Makes it even less fun to play in after pvping lag free in IC for a week.

It’s the PTS. They’ve allocated more server stuffs to the PTS. Whenever it’s up, live lags. And on live patch weeks it’s even worse.

I've noticed lags, too, such as trying to go through a door, the screen goes blank, then it shows me back at the original side of the door, then eventually it takes me to the other side of the door.

Or I interact with a crafting station-- including a cooking fire-- and a "Deconstruction yielded no results" message pops up on the screen, even though I wasn't deconstructing anything.

Or I craft something at a crafting station and it takes several seconds for it to be created.

EDIT: Or I try to harvest a node and I just keep chopping, and chopping, and chopping, and chopping, and chopping...

Man that is *** to have PTS effect live. What are they doing? Running a couple VMs on a desktop?

I don't know when PTS started testing the update, but I started noticing the lag from the very beginning of the IC event. But the lag seems to come and go, or maybe it varies by zone, or maybe by time of day.

Actually, the maintenance before that caused me problems. I’ve had it freeze up and DC. I’ve had it happen twice while crafting, multiple times in overland grind areas, and in a group dungeon. I’ve never had this before at this level.

As others have said, it’s probably PTS related, including people downloading the updated PTS, which is a huge download. Long time players who have taken a break will often come back to try out changes there, which increases server load even more. Give it a few days and see what happens.

I don't know if its related - But I can't even get to the login screen since the patch on Tuesday.

Prior To Tuesday - played no problem forever. Ultra Graphics. Rarely lagged, ever.

Since Tuesday - the game HARD CRASHES MY COMPUTER (to the point of having to press the reset button - ctrl-alt-delete don't even help) before I get all the way to the character select screen. Every. Time.

I've done repair x2. No help.

I turned down all my graphics to lowest setting - I was able to get in past the loading screen and character select! HUZZAH.

Soon as I moved the settings up to 'high' (not ultra) - reload ui - hard reset computer again.

No clue. But clearly something changed and borked something.

Any advice be appreciated. Right now I'm just hoping the next patch/update randomly fixes it as this one randomly broke it.
