Should Zos have its own Restrictions?

The major complaint I am seeing recently is that every patch seriously and adversely affects character builds. This, understandably, cause much frustration, wailing, and gnashing of teeth.

So, would it be a good idea if Zos decided to place a Restriction on themselves... to wit, make a decision that When they institute the next changes that affect character builds, DPS, Dots, whatever, they will make NO More changes to characters for 1 year. And this should be set in stone. No "emergency" changes, barring an error that makes every player use the same class, just because that class ended up so overpowering.

In a year's time, everything - good and bad - will be thoroughly worked through, and new changes, if necessary can be implemented for the next year.

Thoughts?

The problem is, ZOS should have already had common sense restrictions on itself. The current patch notes were a flying leap over the red line for those. So if the combat team already can't be trusted to reasonably control themselves, there's not much hope of them getting their act together and following reasonable guidelines in the future. These changes are a giant middle finger from the combat team, they're already a lost cause. Decent developers don't do that or treat their playerbase like that.

The problem is, at a smaller scale, the same as with the power of a state or government. When you make the rules, you can decide wich rules apply to yourself. Apparently, extreme restraint is in order for us peasants on the forums, where some words can't even be said, but f***ing characters up entirely by removing or changing racial traits that were the very reason for their existence is fine.

I'm starting to think that Wroebel is the one that kept this combat team in check the best he could. because now after he was fired its like the lid from the asylum was taken off and now the patients are running mad making the decisions.
