Just wait for a bigger variety of sets of the same principle and you will see a whole new range of theory crafting which doesnt rely on broken 5th bonus.

The principle is that armor should provide stats, not proc dmg or crazy scenarios like Fury which turns a tank into a nuker or Zaan and crap like that.

New Moon gives:
crit
pen
dmg
More Dmg

In the next dlc there could be a set giving:
Wpn Dmg
Wpn Dmg
Stamina
Ulty gen

Or a set giving
Spell pen
Spell dmg
Magika
More Spell dmg

and so in and so on.

No more play like a noob and let the armor kill players for you.
Do you need regen?
Do you need to stack WD?
Do you need a mix?
Take the armor and use abilities to fight.


New Moon Acolyte could be the first of a new raw stats range.

What dont you get?

Broken means I got Zaan. I can just heal/shield and when it procs I go to the offensive and win.
Broken means Im a stamDK. I used to slot fury, hit like a wet noodle but ve unkillable. Gather stacks and become a nuker.
Broken means that new bullshiet dot stacking proc set that came out with the last dlc. Just apply dots and wait for the booom.
Broken means I can do a full rotation and I just need my armor to deal 1 more hit and the target is dead.

What dont you understand?
Armors that do the fighting for you are broken concepts.

We have this right now in Champion of the Hist actually. I like that set, but I think Daring Corsair might be better, what do you think?

I understand, you don't like procs, animations, stacks, these things. But in the end it's all just numbers in an equation. So your point is that you like simple sets without procs, animations, or stacks to have the best results at the end of the equation? Sets which don't best perform with certain combinations of classes and skills?

Crafted, so you dont even need dlc.
Its a little push to - lets rerol Readguard to make set from stronK to OP.
Again big spit on racial balance.

To be clear @GeorgeBlack I don't disagree with you. For a while now I've focused on convoluted combinations of skills and sets to achieve superlative results, and many of these schemes are instantly trashed when they revise specific effects of skills and sets.

But, I do like sights and sounds which are pleasing to my senses. I choose sets on aesthetics as well as performance. The new Trinimac's Valor is extremely pleasant to use, if you haven't tried it yet.

While we're on the subject of raw stat sets, Sword Singer is trash compared to Truth, given the regrettable change to Dizzying Swing
