Please, return Nightblades back to using Illusion and Alteration style magic. Retire the blood magic from the ESO class. This blood magic was not close to the original concept of the Nightblades when Daggerfall, and its successors, envisioned Nightblade class. They were Illusionists to aid in subterfuge and Alteration magic, as their utility and defensive art form. So, I cordially request that the Nightblade class be realigned to it's original conception. This conception does not use Siphoning (e.g. Blood Magic); whereas, the Shadow tree is close to emulating a blend of Illusionary and Alteration magic but the skill set is far from complete and distinct.

Assassination skill set should represent the class's talent for infiltration and/or deadliness that's competitive to other classes whether the character is a stamina or magicka build. Similar to the Necromancer Graveyard tree, this skill tree should be emphasis our talents to infiltrate and ambush targets.

IF, Shadow tree was meant to be our preconceived Illusionary magic than strengthen the entire skillset and redesign/remove unrelated skills. For example, the Shadow tree orientation being heal/utility/support with more illusionary effects, such as the shadow cloak, aspect of terror (fear), and summon shade skills. Since Alteration encompasses shields, maybe something akin to an illusionary shield granting damage avoidance; turning "Dodge Roll" defensive effect into a cast-able spell: Maybe the alternate morph of shadowy disguise with a 3 second duration. Or, what not. This skill tree should emphasis our talents to misdirect and protect ourselves from focused attacks.

Lastly, remove blood magic from Nightblades. Give this skill tree to the Priest class when you introduce the pantheon dieties. Instead, rework/develop a Nightblade skill tree that supports melee mag/stamBlades with offensive skills. The class had an aptitude for Alteration magic. You could repurpose veiled strike and to an extent teleport strike; however, melee magBlades need more than one close-combat non-execute/gap closing skills. Maybe passives that allow magBlades to regain both stamina/magicka from heavy attacks. Possibly, introduce weapon conjuration based on what weapon is equiped by altering the weapon to a class's signature weapon – a toggled state similar to Overload. Or, what not.

Essentially, return Nightblades back to using Bethesda's concept of the class using Illusion and Alteration style magic. It would offer the class its own uniqueness. There is enough gear set choices to build into tank or healer roles since the vast majority relies on s/b/frost/restoration staff and undaunted skills anyways. We need a complete class set of skills, and players will adapt/build around the completeness of those skill trees.
