pvp this patch is awful and zos seem to love putting in DOT meta patches like once a year so maybe adding DOT immunity to some class skills just like how snare immunity works on shuffle. because even if you have a Dot removal they can instantly apply the dots back on to you.
instead of DOT immunity, Zos should just try to bring critical healing modification back and see how it works out on the upcoming pts.

Do you know how much healing is still possible in PvP if you invest in it?ZOS should not buff healing in any form unless they are nerfing defense and/or buffing damage.

In Update 23, we made changes to “over time” abilities to make them more competitive and align to a numerical standard. This resulted in more variety in builds compared to Update 22. However, it’s swung the pendulum a bit too far in the other direction. As we’ve stated before, our audit pass doesn’t mean our numbers are engraved in stone, and this is a case where we missed the mark and are looking to correct that. In Update 24, we will be pulling back on the power of Damage over Time abilities, but not Heal over Time abilities. This will reign in some of the damage we’re seeing in PVP, but should not inhibit the completion of trials, dungeons, and arenas. We’ve also adjusted our standards of Area of Effect-based DoTs to once again do similar damage to single target counterparts, but with a much greater cost.
Haha haha. No. ESO has never been a game about zero summing where you either get screwed completely or get screwed completely depending on whether your opponent has a skill or not. Sure, there are certain skills where you can take that greatly enhances your potential vs certain classes (like shuffle vs magplar jabs) but a complete negation of damage sounds like a plan some guy put 0 effort into thinking. OH there’s DoTs let us create DoT immunities that are only useful for dots and nothing else! Oh there’s direct damage! How about we get immunity for those next?
We have DoT mitigation in the form of champion skill points. Is this not enough? This is a real question the 25% mitigation you can get from the Warrior tree(The Lady I believe)coupled with certain gear sets can boost that quite a way up. Or were you talking about something else entirely?

Everyone is entitled to have an opinion, even if he doesn’t do PvP, his comment is fair: why negate an entire playstyle (stam sorc, mag dk dot builds existed since way before this patch) just because DOTs are the thing right now? There are multiple ways to purge (alliance war skill, templar, curse eater, wyrd tree sets) and applying a meaningful DOT pressure takes more gcd’s than a good burst combo, which is still a far better way to kill in PvP.
I liked the idea of the same skill being cast by someone else override each other. Some classes rely on DoTs, an immunity would not be good for those.
