PSA: You look stupid.

When you squat as soon as you spot me in the open and try to crouch away from me backwards, you look stupid.

The ammount of these encounters is getting ridiculous. Why don't you fight, you might learn something and improve at PvP over time.

They might not be interested in learning how to PvP, and are there for other reasons. Same with PvP players in dungeons who don't know their role or mechanics and don't care for learning them, but need something from there. What do you gain by one-shotting these retreating players? If these encounters are boring you, leave them be and find actual PvP-ers to fight against.

I'm not talking about the occasional PvE quester or the poor CP120 guy exploring the zone. Most of them clearly want to participate in the Cyrodiil buisness.

They could be in a group that has is going to a resource or keep and you are not worth their time.

Since they are going into sneak they will not be moving so fast. Why doesn't OP go get them if he wants to fight them so much. Instead OP just lets the enemy sneak away. If the go hunt them down they just might learn something about PvP.

Unless they have Major Expedition and the bonus which negates sneak speed penalty, in which case they will be moving quite fast indeed :D

    I usually do.

I'm not judging them as a person. But if they roleplay as a coward, there is no need for me, the great hero Bergzorn, to behave respectful against their character.

You are saying they look stupid. That seems pretty judgmental. Here you are suggesting they are cowards but trying to disguise it as a commentary on RP.

Seems more like you are challenged with Cyrodiil PvP so you try to PvP in the forums instead. That is a real tough and great hero that PvPs in the forum.

I don't roleplay as a coward. I play for fun, and it's extremely fun to tag an enemy player in IC and cloak away immediately and watch them get all upset and throw AOEs everywhere in order to force me out of stealth - but it won't work : I know what' I'm doing when it comes to sneaking in IC.
And as soon as you give up and proceed to go your merry way, I pop up again and attack you, and poof! I'm gone again.
I know there's nothing to gain that way, but it's just plain fun.

Bonus points if you can get them to ragequit out of frustration :D

I once had a NB on me who was just like that, except in Cyrodiil. Zero damage, but that was keeping me "in combat" and preventing from mounting.
Eventually I ended up queueing for another Cyro campaign (back in the times when it was still possible) because I was out in the middle of nowhere and unable to mount :D

Lol spoken like a true nightblade. I also love to do this from time to time. Just try to be as annoying as possible. The best is when the person stops everything they are doing to tbag the ground. Let's you know you really got on thier nerves

That's not at all what I'm talking about.

Imagine this situation: An open meadow in plain daylight in Cyrodiil. Two players, one of them is me. We are both aware of each others presence. I walk towards them. They start to crouch. Backwards. Away from me. While I'm still walking directly towards them. There is no way they havn't realized that I've spotted them.

It's not about their strategy. It's not about player skill. It's not about who would win the 1v1. It's not about me getting wrecked once enough of them have accumulated in the shadows.

It just looks so stupid on the screen.

You're probably too humble. You are not aware how famous you are. Everybody is so scared of you. It's not looking silly, it's showing respect and survival instinct. You're good, and everybody knows it ! Fame ! Fame ! Fame !
