necro corpse spawning for support builds

I feel that there isn't enough reliable ways for a necro support build(healer and tank) to generate corpses for their abilities. The most reliable way for a necro to get corpses is to use blast bones, but this is a damage ability which doesn't make sense to be using on a healer or tank. The other ways of generating corpses as far as the classes abilities go is having a summon die or be respawned(only after being recast 11+ seconds later for bone armor and 9+ seconds for spirit healer) so you have to wait a good duration for a corpse from those abilities or hope there are enemies that die nearby to use which some fights don't have.

My suggestion would be to add corpse generation to another ability. Some ideas I've come up with would be to have either the bone totem drop a corpse every 2 seconds for it's duration or have grave grasp generate a corpse for each of it's circles so that supports have a more reliable sorce of corpses than just slotting blast bones and waiting for timers to run out.

Also, I think corpses should have a longer time on the ground than 4 seconds(it could be longer or shorter but the point is they disappear so fast you don't have time to utilize them).

Let me know what you all think. I just enjoy the class and using class abilities rather than using all weapon abilities all the time for every build.

    Yes, yes, yes. Moar corpses pls. They dissolve far too fast. And Necromancer definitely needs a buff in PvP. This could be it.

    Generating corpses from the Bone totem would make sense how it is made out of bones and what not. Just like how bone armor generates a corpse upon expiration.
    If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

    If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

    Yes to everything, especially corpse duration on the ground. My corpses go to waste more often than not because they disappear while I'm otherwise healing, crowd controlled, repositioning, etc., etc.

    As for corpse generation, one idea I had is that corpse generating abilities would naturally drop a corpse at the half-life of the ability duration. This would make corpse generation much more constant and frees Necros from having to burn resources recasting their abilities at half duration just to generate a corpse.

    Whenever I need a corpse on my Necro healer, I create one via the spirit mender. I have the bone armor and mender in my rotation and am able to have one when needed during boss fights without adds.

    This is exactly what I do as well

    Though there is a problem when the only way to get a corpse onto the tank to boost the healing of stuff like Renewing Undeath or the one that makes it so that the single heal instead heals two people is to use blastbones, unless you feel like being right in the boss's rear so your spirit / armor can do it and getting slapped across the room should the boss have some kind of attack that's very bad to be near, like the healer in White Gold Tower that slurps your healthbar with his flame attack among others. I'd totally run the totem if it dumped out corpses or the grasp if it popped a corpse per burst so we could actually get enough corpses at once to reliably use the morphs that consume multiple corpses since it doesn't help they vanish before you can really use them a lot of the time.

    It'd be nice if when it chose a corpse to consume it'd prefer one at the target location but if one isn't available it'd consume one near the caster instead.
