Drop percentages? Are they the same for all items?

Example: 100 keys
20 monster shoulders
17 maarselok
3 grundulf
Everyone I know has had similar drop rates. Not as bad as this but still no where near even and never reversed.You cannot tell me they are the same

    You would need to add a few zeros on the end of that number to have a decent representation of drop rates. A sample size of twenty is nowhere near enough.

    One thing I have noticed is if you get a certain shoulder on your first key, the chances of you getting that same set is pretty good if you spend another key right away. Seems the loot tables take a bit of time to cycle through in the short run.

    So, if the first shoulder is not what you want, then wait to spend the subsequent keys.

    However, in the long run, there is a pretty equal distribution of the sets.

    And of course, if the first shoulder you get is the set you really really want, the subsequent ones will not be of that set....

    There are some that are absolutely convinced if you want something for a tank or stam DPS then use the keys on your healer. If you want gear good for magicka builds be on a character that is a stam build. They will swear you have a better chance of getting what you really want doing that.

    I don't buy into that theory but it is out there.

    Similar theory for farming gear in dungeons. Never farm gear on the character the gear is for. Don't buy into that one either.

    based on the character you play and your ingame behavior the game automatically calculates and individual drop rate for you and reduces the one for things you are looking for to 0.01% - thats a general rule...you can improve it by STRONGLY thinking about the opposite of what you really want...

    case and point - looking for a 1h axe for dro zakar to try out the set...after i dont know, a 100 runs i have 5 sharpened daggers, no axe..

    I strongly doubt the sample size to achieve a decent confidence interval is in the 000s.

    Also if you are farming gear in a dungeon with guild mates who are willing to give you the gear all three of them will get the item you need the first time they run the dungeon without you. Works with trials too.

    About ten days ago, I spent 50 keys for 10 chests to get heavy Thurvokun. Got 4 light and 6 medium.

    Probably not. I was farming Abah's Watch motif pages and I got a stupid number of Bows. Like 6 bow pages compared to 1 of the rest, 2 of a couple, and zero of a few.

    It seems to me that the present system doesn't work well for most ppl and perfect for a rare few. Why not try and make it a more balanced system instead of the current one?
    You cannot say it's good bc I've seen many of my friends lose interest bc how long it takes to just get what you need to test a new set out. I've personally farmed forever for A succession inferno and no luck. It's not fun anymore but has become tedious and more like a chore than anything else.
