Pale fur/scales on beast races with body markings from collections.

After all those years. i still thinkin' on why the heck the beast races go pale when they have a body tattoo or markings on them from collections? Why these cannot be a new layer on top of the original fur/scales?

like for example- lets take a look at my cat. On the left, original look, on the right, a paled, washed out fur because of the body markings

or, on my liz. ditto

As i mentioned earlier. would not be hard to add a new layer? like a skin.

its more than likely because during character creation you gave them a body marking which makes his pale fur less pronounced. when you equip a body marking from collections, it overrides the "base" marking from character creation

it's the same with my argonian character. he's a vampire and has the "scales" looking marking, but if i equip another one he loses it and his skin just turns to a flat white tone

they all take up the same appearance slot so yea...

would be nice if all these new markings could be a seperate layer though

Would be great if they separated the layers in these cases.

Yes, the second layer is used for spots and stripes on Khajiit but also tattoo overlays.
Any scars other races has will also be overwritten but this is much less visible than an tiger striped Khajiit loosing his stripes.
And yes it makes the body markings pretty useless for us who mostly play beast races.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
