Ive been around a long time & in that time, Ive seen it all.
Bot Trains running around in masses, Still to this day Grathwood & Shadowfen have some nice trains you can find & watch.
PvP side of it Key scripts etc. Its funny to me how Zos lets this go on even today w/ all the scanning that can be done to weed it out.

From my understanding, the system is done in a cycle. Resulting in massive ban waves.

In return, majority of those effected are gone. Forced to either purchase a different scripting program for their macros / key scripting / botting shenanigans. Or wait for new ones to develop new programs (some are fast some years later and fork out up to thousands of dollars to get that slightest of edge, bot train going again.

Though we may not see it instantly, they do get whats coming to them.

A google search for most mmorpg ban wave forum complaints offer the rishest, and most satisfying of salt.

I think that ZOS bans botters as they are reported. I am not sure if they ban unreported bots (ones they discover for themselves) or wait for them to be reported. I have asked many questions of ZOS about bots, which go largely unanswered.

ZOS does ban bots in waves, and it takes months. Back when farming (harvesting) bots were much more common, I would report the same bots over and over, and still see them months later. That said... it's not as noticeable now, but after every major update there is about a 2 week period where you won't see bots, because the gold farmers are having to develop work-arounds for whatever new preventions ZOS put in place. It took 5 years, but I don't see as many bots. Yes, some still exist, but it's far better than even a year ago.
