I'm an occasional PvE visitor to the IC and I'll be earning my tickets by slaying a patrolling monster in the IC streets or mini-boss within the IC sewers.
My only question:
What constitutes "a patrolling monster"? Does it have to be the big boss that patrols in a circle around the center of each district, or can it be one of the lesser monsters that patrol the other streets?

A lot of people prioritize these events for the tickets/berries, but I almost never see people on the Indrik mount, so I'm not sure why people participate so heavily?

No, you haven't.

Many people knowingly took advantage of a glitch that allowed then to evolve their Nascent to an Onyx Indrik using just the first Onyx berry. ZOS did nothing to punish the exploiters, and even let them all keep their exploited Onyx Indriks ($75 real cash value).
Now we know the name of at least one of the exploiters.

Same question. I thought the patrolling horrors / mini bosses were the named bosses in sewers or districts with the anti-stealth ring. They are monsters up top and xivkyn below.
But now I don't know.
