Just read a thread , many ppl claim that 1m golds can be made in few days without trading or crafting , I shocked me.ivebeen playing eso for years and only have 500k in bank. if making golds is that easy ,why can't I :)
my membership was discontinued weeks ago, and now i have no intention to renew, does it matter?

Making gold has little to do with ESO+.

Two basic methods are to do something predicatably profitable day after day (like, "crafting writs on 8 characters, and steal & fence 100 items"),

or farm something valuable, join a trading guild, and sell it.

    Neither of those need ESO+.

Of course, the craft bag and access to the DLC zones can make some of them easier. But it's not needed.

edit: an example of method 1 - I have 8 characters. If I run crafting writs on them every day & sell any Ornate items I get, I can make 30-40k gold. 35k gold X 29 days = 1mil. And doesn't even take long, assuming you have a supply of crafting mats in your bank/craft bag/etc. And even without ESO+, I can still use all the junk in my craft bag, and I save up any new materials until the next "free ESO+ weekend" when they get dumped right back into the bag.

    That ^^^^^

But how much you put into it determines how much you make.

To turn over that much gold in that short of time means you already have some things that are valuable that you just need to unload.

I'm hovering around 4.5 million right now, good amount but there are others with 10 times that or more. I can't even be bothered to do daily writs on one character much less more than that. But I have other currency - AP, tel var -- that I can cash in anytime I need to. I buy useful gold jewelry from the golden vendor and sell it at a later date. There are a couple motifs that can be bought with AP and sold for gold, Hakeijo runes cost 5k tel var and can be sold for 10k-Ish gold. 40-50 arena proofs from a daily pvp quest turns into 700K+ gold. I sell all the dreugh wax I acqure because I only ever make my weapons gold. Otherwise I craft and sell furniture to fill up my guild trader sell slots, I have some rarer recipes that are consistent sellers. Selling consumables like potions, glyphs, or even raw materials can be profitable.

There's a lot of ways to make gold in this game. Probably the most helpful thing is being in a guild with a good high traffic guild trader location so you can sell stuff without having to go around spamming zone chats.

Unless you are in a rush to max out bank and bag space, you don't need 1,000,000 gold.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Depends how lucky you are, you could conceivably get a Cipher on your first attempt and then sell that.

How many hours do you plan to play in those few days? There are plenty of farms that are on average going to net 50k+ an hour depending on how efficient you are at them. Chest farms, material farms, telvar farms, all can bring in decent steady gold, but some take a bit more skill then others, and other are a little more RNG dependent. You will need a way to sell your goods. A decent trading guild is surely the easiest way to do that.

If you are unhappy with your bank account and dont mind a little prep work, then crafting writs are your answer. They are NOT a get rich quick scheme, but they do tend to snowball after a while as writs give you mats to power level subsequent crafters. Even low level writs are worth doing in the meantime.

My net worth in this game (gold balance, craft bag, housing) is well north of 9 figures at this point. Other than selling an occasional rare drop (didnt even sell my cipher, just sitting in my bank) it is ALL from writs. There is no better source of steady income in this game. You will make about 4.5k gold per character, plus random gold mat drops. In an hour, I can run about 15 characters through writs assuming the load screens arent too bad that day. That is about 70k gold and probably close to double that in gold mat value an hour once you get going.

If I had to start from scratch in this game, first thing I would do would be to power level one toon of each class and set 5/6 up for just doing writs. Of course, I have done all the questing, so i wouldnt have an issue skipping the story I have played half a dozen times already.

The only reason ESO+ matters is that with writs, it will become an inventory crunch as you get a lot of mats, and it's easier to prep for writs in advance with the craft bag, as it is accessible from all your toons. Some writs just require a raw mat as part of the quest.

When I was farming enough mats and gear to sell 1 million or more a week, I was farming around 2 hours a day on a speed build and doing daily writs. That sounds like a lot, but I find farming a route I know well to be intensely relaxing. No ESO+.

So the real question is whether or not that sounds like something you want to commit the time to.

Making gold is about your commitment to farming.

The trick is not making 1 million or any lump sum amount of gold, because you can spend that lump sum quicker than you made it.

You will always need more gold, you need to get a reliable supply of gold, like daily writs on as many alts as you are able to do.

For example I do writs on 18 characters a day, all max level with the crafts maxed out.

each character makes 4648 gold per day = 83664 gold not including gold from ornate items(can be anywhere from 1K extra to 8K extra) That is 585648 gold per week just from the quest turn in's.

After sales from the stuff I get out of the writ reward boxes, I easily sell enough stuff to make over a million in sales each week at the traders.

That does not include gold from selling the raw mats from surveys, that I get since I don't do them regularly, I did about a months worth recently that had been building up in my bank and ended up selling 5 times my usual weekly sales.

Setting up max level writs is neither cheap nor fast, if you have a lot of time you can make a lot of gold but it requires a hell of a lot of grinding and gold to set up, I used thieving to build up the capital to level the required skills, pay my early guild trader fees etc, now that the set up is long behind me I have over 13 million gold sitting in the bank and own every motif they have currently released on my main crafter, bought an aetheric cipher so I could make the 150%xp potion recipe.

I started playing this game in December 2018, I left SWTOR's inflated economy and it took a short while to figure out how to make in game currency in ESO.

People will always say its hard or takes a lot of time to set up daily crafting writs and it does, there is no sugar coating it but just like maxing out your bank space with gold, once you have maxed your characters levels, maxed their crafting skills your done, you just have to keep supplying mats at that point to keep it going and you will never be short on gold again.

You don't even need max level characters, get a bunch of alts to level 6, do the writ certification quest on each for equipment writs just do the level 1 writs don't need to invest any skill points the mats to maintain those writs are dirt cheap in guild stores.

Have them do low level writs, they will earn surveys, collect those surveys at the end of the week/month on your max level character and sell the raw mats either in zone or guild stores.

You will make a lot more gold that way than trying to do a gathering route in the zones, while putting in minimal effort.

If you have the time level them all to max, if you don't you can still make decent gold with the lower level method.

At the end of the day its going to take some time to make gold, only short cut is selling crowns, assuming you have the money to waste and don't get scammed.

Best piece of advice I can give anyone though is, if you want to have gold to spend on gear or just to save for stuff, avoid housing completely, its designed to make you waste your gold, now its your choice between having a nicely decorated mansion or your characters decked out in legendary gear(you can do both but housing should be dead last, once you have run out of things to buy)
