Sweetrolls from ESO cookbook - not what I expected

I had always imagined sweetrolls to be a lot like cinnamon buns, with that kind of seasoning. But the recipe not only has no seasonings but salt, it also has yeast in it - making it a lot like a thick donut. It was delicious as all get out though.

My husband and I also made these this weekend, and I had pretty much the same expectations and reaction as you! Also baking them makes your house smell AMAZING and the icing is to die for

Our icing was a little drippier because we used half and half instead of heavy cream!

You can always add some cinnamon and sugar. Most baked goods require salt but you can always add to it. I would maybe add some orange extract or maple extract. Now I want to break out my cookbook and see what I can do with the recipe

It is the shape that probably defines a sweetroll rather than the content. Sweetrolls are enjoyed across Tamriel in many different variations - as many as bread itself - depending on what ingredients are available locally.

you could try this recipe it's a traditional dish from my home

Raisins are optional (if you don't like them) and you can top it with icing if you like (and for that sweetroll look)

Yes alas. So very, very sick was this one the last time she tried. Never, ever again. Almond milk is not so bad though.

It is also possible to make a variety of interesting and delicious things with coconut cream.

Actually, a fact too many people are not aware of, many cats are lactose intolerant. It is not recommended to give cats milk at all. Sadly, even many veterinarians are not aware of this. So @SantieClaws is merely carrying normal cat-genes @andreasv

It really is a great cookbook - a really interesting read and very beautiful to look at.

Even if this one cannot follow all the recipes to the letter there is still much inspiration to be had.

Yup, a sweetroll is just a yeasty roll, done in a round, with drizzled icing. Now a proper american cinnamon roll is properly known as a sticky bun.

Could also be some issues between US and UK or European terms, I know in the US a flap jack is just a pancake, whereas in the UK it's this delicious soft oat bar, with a crunchy exterior that is topped with icing and held together with molasses.

I watch too much Great British Baking Show/Bake-Off.
