ZOS please stop and regroup
ZOS – please stop and regroup
The revelations of the current ESO meet up seem to indicate that ZOS realizes some of the issues caused by the recent patches (dots, dismantling of class identity) and that they are trying to fix it.
The problem is their fixes of the fixes for the fixes to fix the old fixes that fixed the original fixes seems more and more like a guy in a boat that fills with water and who is desperately trying to get the water out of the boat faster than it gets in and failing at it – not realizing that he is more and more sinking…
People always said there is this great master strategy and plan – I am sure there is an "idea" of what they would like to change but unfortunately fixes are always looked at in isolation instead of the holistic picture which causes all the mess we are currently in.
I have not only lost confidence in ZOS ability to fix this mess but also my motivation to wait for it…
Therefore instead of continue with this patch work failed fix approach I would strongly encourage ZOS to:
Stop any further skill changes and instead – take a couple weeks or even months off – look at all the feedback and all the things that work and that don't and all the skills and classes as if you'd design them from the ground up with todays know how – come up with a total holistic overhaul of ALL skills and ALL passives and ALL skill issues, class identity problems etc. etc. and then come back with a HOLISTIC idea of where to go – implement it on the pts for a couple weeks, look and analyze the feedback and THEN implement and fix this mess.
Because if you simply throw another quick fix at us without looking at the whole situation from the ground up and holistically we will just continue an escalating downward spiral of fixes for the fixes for the fixes for the fixes…until most players have moved on.
