Elemental Succession performance

I use Spell Strategist on my Magicka Necromancer (I guess it's recommended because Mother's Sorrow becomes useless during execute). However I simply don't like that set and Succession sounds really interesting. I did lots of Maelstrom runs during the event and even got an Inferno Staff. However the Jewelry has nonsense traits like Robust and Healthy (I have no idea why, usually any other content drops in proper traits) so I'd like to know about the performance before transmuting them. Some numbers would be appreciated.

I tested the set a lot. It is subpar both-bar option but is great as front bar-only option. Well, I tested it on magDK which is the absolutely best candidate for the set (not sure how magNecro works with it).

Uptime tends to be very similar to spell strategist. This all depends on your rotation and how much time you spend on back bar. For me, the uptime usualy stays between 80-90% which is pretty much the same as my Spell Strategist uptime. However, thanks to my damage composition (15% of my damage is Entrooy and Soul Trap), Spell Strategist is slightly better for me when it comes to PURE single target. But once some AoE takes places, Elemental Succession is much better.
When it comes to Mothers Sorrow vs Elemental Succesion, this highly depends on your group. If you are member of a leaderboard group where your Major Force uptimes are godly than Mother's Sorrow might come slightly better. Otherwise, it's Elemental Succession.

The biggest problem with Elemental Succession is the grind for flame staff :-D

I don't use Soul Trap at all, only Degeneration. So using Succession would be less of a loss for my build I guess

That's still a significant amount of time to try for one shot at one weapon. In the time that it'd take to run through nMA (which I've actually only done once way back when, at that point it took ages bc I didn't know whar I was doing. VMA takes me about an hour at this point though), which I imagine would be 30ish minutes, I could have soloed nCoA 1 close to 2x, which grants at least three chances at the BSW staff (the normal bosses don't seem to drop weaps, so I'm counting 2 chests plus final boss). Get a group together and you're done even faster and with more chances for loot.

Using it on my Mag Necro at the moment, a simple Force Pulse procs all the effects and Necro has all three elements in their abilities, it buffs blast bones quite a bit, getting 36k crits on it, haven't used it enough to give a useful opinion yet though.
