Item Levels, especially with Jewelry?

So you have an item level that has more armor and some benefit (say increased spell resistance) compared to other item with a higher level. I want the armor and resistance? Because item level itself does nothing?

And if you have jewelry of a certain item level, but no other benefit, does it do anything?

In most cases you’re right, @Doctor_David ... unless the higher level item is significantly more levels than the lower level item. In that case, the stat boost from quality of the higher level item will be better.

Easiest test is to just put both on and compare stats.

Unless you’re trying to sell one or the other. But, it looks like these aren’t coveted set pieces, so the sales price is likely minimal.
