Need help with ganking

So I have been ganking for a bit and I’m enjoying it but I have kinda low dmg in cp cyro cuz evry1 has 26k hp I need some build and combat advice from any gankers

My build is marksman + morag tong w asylum bow tho I have tried out auto + Spriggans and the like

Need help w mundus and targeting as well as any build advice

Double dot poisons.

Vicecannon, viper
Viper, sheer venom
Range to melee

Sheer venom vicecannon
Pure range

Selenes or veli or valkyn skoria


Morag tong + deadly strikes
Balorgh for toxic barrage

Sergeants + undaunted+ balorgh heavy attack bow build.

Depends. Before Elsweyr I'd say yes because you really had to go very hard due to defensive builds working so well. Divines instead of Impen often put you just over the HP and mitigation levels people built to survive generalized burst.

This patch solo-ish defensive builds are a lot worse open world for numerous reasons and maintaining TTK is more important. This means more frequently running into people you can gank without full divines. At the same time the sticky DOTs also mean that you're taking more damage even when you'd normally be scot-free.

Overall for this patch I think going Impen will likely be a much better plan than Divines unless you're doing something silly like Twice-Born Star/Spriggan's for highest penetration. Going for the hardest possible gank is still viable and will still expand the range of 'quickly' gankable targets but is less necessary.

Side Note: There are interesting questions about when a gank build crosses over into being a normal build and vice versa. Pretty normal NB builds with the standard damage set, sustain set, and defensive monster set can get a decent proportion of ganks this patch.

If you want to go snipe gank, can't go wrong with Automaton, Spriggians, one Kena, one Balorgh.

My combo is snipe LA Arrow spray
The snipe lands 2nd and is empowers by the asylum bow hitting 15k crits sometimes

As for auto Spriggans I what tooltips are people getting?
I’m at just over 15k w the warrior mundus (on Xbox so still in elsweyr)

Rn I just do bowganking but I want to look into other methods but I’m not really sure of the different ways to gank. I know sniping and onslaught ganking (which is useless as of scalebreaker)

The last one was produced by 'harmless chicken' in the form of dw mace heavy attacks. Cp (heavy attack) and vampire are a must.

Beware tho, this setup requires an incredible amount of experience and skill to play even at a decent level. Only for pros!

Is ganking still a thing? I didn't saw a single ganker in Cyro in ~ 20 hours I spent there this patch, mostly solo, 23k HP. While before Elsweyr there were gankers and gank squads on every corner.

what do u guys say about hawk's eye and marksman? Are these sets in combination better than other raw stats sets? Like hundings/bone pirate/automaton/spriggans/etc

how much is the difference? i mentioned marksman and hawk eye because they also come with 10% bow abilities cost and 5% all stamina abilities cost. Do morag tong 10% damage is worth more than marksman 8% damage with 5% stam abilities cost? or is % damage less worth than four units of stats?

Sustain is almost useless on a gank build. Morag outperforms because of 2 wep dmg bonus and 2%
That being said I’m finding swamp raider fun rn w Spriggans.
Tho marksman + morag or marksman + swamp raider/automaton would work well for a pure sniper

That being said I’m finding swamp raider fun rn w Spriggans.
Tho marksman + morag or marksman + swamp raider/automaton would work well for a pure sniper

i was asking for battlegrounds build, there rarely you get a one shot from stealth, which will make you kite around which involves breaking free and dodge rolling a bit. That's why i liked marksman cuz the recovery and cost reduction is pretty useful, but i may replace hawks eye with something else like morag/spriggans

Pick an outpost that is being contested by the other two factions. Ride over there. Put up a camp in a discreet location. Wallah. You will get targets coming and going. Just be careful. You will have no friends to bail you out.

For some reason the Nikel to Ash and Roe stretch seems to be the best fishing. People get careless there a lot more than the Sej to Brk or Sej to Alessia legs. Bleaks is pretty bad unless you like running around the big rock and being clever with shade since there are some elevation changes. You would think it would be good but since it channels players so much together along the terrain thru the mile gate and the path through the cliffs, it's not great and if you don't pay attention you can have a big angry mob on you without you being able to see it.
