Question about lag and skills not fireing off

This is more directed in terms of tanking and any struggles I might run into but has anyone else had any huge issues with lag and playing? Example is with my MagDK I have to hit a key 3 times sometimes for a skill to fire (mostly seems to be with FOO) so given my lovely Aussie lat of a consent 380 (310 on a good day, if ever) am I going to struggle as a tank in that a skill not going off, i.e. heal, block, whatever can mean death and then that's just no good??
Has anyone else dealt with this same issue as a tank? As a dps I can kind of let it slide as you just spam it and it will fire but a delay does not equate to a dropped block or whatever. Just curious as to if its even worth it to roll tank (have always played one in other MMOs) or just stay on the dps train, cuz the net aint getting any better any time soon. Cheers!

I'm getting this issue both in pve and pvp, even at 100ms ping.1
