MAGMA ARMOR/CORROSIVE ARMOR severe bug

Iam afraid that i have to report a major issue with a core ability for a Draginknight: the Earthen Heart ultimate and its morthps, Magma Armor and Corrosive Armor.

I tested both versions on battlegrounds, which is where i am most active, and i discovered how the 3% incomind damage cap does not apply in none of the 2 versions.
My dunmer dk, for example, has 26 k health so the incoming damage allowed per hit should be something around 700 and 800 points, but i tested it 12 times on the magma armor version only today, only to find that i can still reveive hits of 5000 or even 6000 hps.
The same occurred on the corrosive armor version when i decided to test it later.

It takes no genius to understand that 5000 is not the 3% of 26.000 and, before you ask, no: the incoming damage recorded was not from dots or other channeled abilities like puncturing strikes or soul assoult.
A cap is a cap, therefore no damage is allowed beyond its limit and if someone decides to trade the usual, op and cheap abilities (which i will not name here) to gain some defence, that choice must not be imparied by this kind of bug.

Thank you for your attention.

Clearly you have never heard of oblivion damage.

Oblivion damage is a special damage type unlike any other, being able to bypass resistances and even outright bypass any damage cap in a PvP environment. (even the damage cap of Magma armor and its morphs.) in both PvP and PvE, player sourced Oblivion Damage serves as a “Giant Slayer” Enchantment, being able to dish out dangerously high damage to targets with a large pool of Maximum Health.

On some sources such as Sload’s Semblance, Knight Slayer, etc. They have a Hard cap as to how much oblivion damage can be done to targets.

Also: Read all the PC patch notes for a full run-down.

    Edit: patched up commentary.

If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

I am aware of what oblivion damage is and how it works, as i am aware of the fact that crystal fragment, dizzying swing, and many other abilities that did far more than the cap allowed are NOT sources of oblivion damage.
Enchants and sets are shown as separate sources on the recount and therefore already calculated when i created this report.

Remember, it’s okay and very normal to disagree with others, and even to debate, but provoking conflict, baiting, inciting, mocking, etc. is never acceptable in the official The Elder Scrolls Online community. If you do not have something constructive or meaningful to add to a discussion, we strongly recommend you refrain from posting in that thread.

Then You might want to include “All” the little details including ^That^ into your OP just to be sure. Also, did some work on my end and narrowed it down to a few possible culprits.
    • two-handed Blackrose Weapon set: If you had a teammate fighting beside you (in your case of battlegrounds.) if your teammate was damaged by uppercut or its morphs while using it, 100% of the damage done would have been done to “one enemy near your primary target” which if you were there, that namely could have damaged you and your teammate, the only thing contradictory in this case is whether or not the damage bypasses magma armor or not in which case, may need to be investigated.
    • Macros(PC): in PvP, there are some people who use macros on their keyboards which supposedly let them use multiple abilities with a single button and coupling that with the current lag issues in all manner of PvP environments makes it all the more harder to properly analyze the cause of death in the death recap.
    • Lag/Performance issues in cyrodiil: This particular topic has been going on for a couple of years but otherwise, search for threads in regard to performance issues in cyrodiil and you may find one or two answers. Some said issues are even related to the battlegrounds.
    • Health Desync Issue: you may want to check out these two threads as these may somewhat be your best bet as to how the damage cap of magma Armor is not properly mitigating Damage.

    That is all.
