Guild Trader issue - have we been forgotten ? Urgent response required please

It's now Thursday as I write this, past mid-day in the UK - it has been four days since the Guild Trader multi-bidding system caused chaos. At this point, all we've had is a vague "we're looking into it" message. We still do not know:-

1. How are we to approach this Sunday's Guild Trader bids? Sunday is getting ever-closer.
2. If we were refunded more gold than we bid last week, what is the ruling on how we deal with that?
3. If we won a Guild Trader bid, but were not able to occupy the kiosk because it had been taken by the time the server finished bid processing, how will we be refunded?
4. What's ZoS stance on lost trade this week? Many trade guilds have lost out on revenue that would be used to fund this week's bid. Will we be compensated?
5. What's ZoS stance on lost trade at the player level? Many players have lost out on trade this week. Will they be compensated?
6. Trading and running a trade guild in this game REQUIRES history files. When will history be switched back on?
7. Statements so far seem to place blame for the incident on PC addons which has frustrated many and risks driving add-on developers away from the game. Will ZoS clarify / apologise?

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_KaiSchober this situation needs some urgent communication from you. I have been vocal in the past that your communication with your player base - your customers - has been poor over the past two years. It's been better very recently, but it feels like GMs have been forgotten four days after this issue. It feels like you guys have run for the hills!

Not that I'm suggesting that GMs require special treatment, but please remember that for every GM who has been asking for an answer to these questions, there are hundreds of players behind them who also want answers and who have also been impacted.

So, come on guys, please get us some answers. Not all of the above needs a technical solution - some of the questions must be answerable right now.

    They are actively attempting to find a solution. Very soon. Soon-ish. Soon™. Meanwhile, check the crown shop, surely there's tons of stuff you could really use.
    On a serious note, want to make an impact / change things ? Vote with your wallet, stop spending more than your 2 cents.

    I agree 100% with OP's questions. With time ticking and bids to place we need urgent non vague answers to some of these questions so we can manage our guilds and the thousands of players who are members. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_KaiSchober.

    Please prioritise this, we are not asking for state secrets here.

    Thanks @agegarton for a well written post, I agree with every question here and the urgency for communication! (I myself am not a guildmaster but , as Age well described, one of those hundreds of players behind every GM who also whave been impacted and want answers.)

    I still believe. We should be more concerned with how the devs will solve the performance issues before Sunday. So, this doesn't happen again. I'm pretty sure. We agree. We don't want that. That should be the priority right now. Then, we can circle back once that is taken care of and readdress the other issues if necessary. Overloading ZOS with requests for everything under the sun, right now, will get us nothing imho.

    I agree that sorting out the server-side issues is of paramount importance - we can't have a repeat of last Sunday. That said, I really don't see the list above as an overload of questions. Many of them should reasonably have been answered before now and most need an answer before guilds can bid this Sunday. I'm afraid the links are inextricable at this point.

    I did not do trading for last 4 days, totally lost motivation in trading which I love most. I will push on weekend only to meet sale requirements. and earn some money for bidding

    the millions I lost on sunday, wont come back soon. I may have money for sunday bidding but I know there are new GMs that lost both gold and spot. I kindly remind them to not use exploited gold.

    Hello everyone,

    Tomorrow, we are planning maintenance on PC NA and EU in order to publish the next incremental patch early. This will include fixes for the recent crashes many have been experiencing this week, in addition to implementing additional safeguards for the guild trader and multi-bidding issues that occurred last Sunday. There will also be a number of additional fixes for combat, dungeons, and multi-crafting that will be outlined in the patch notes; these will be published tomorrow morning during maintenance.

    Regarding the excess gold some guilds on PC EU received last weekend after the multi-bidding issue, we'll have an update for everyone on this tomorrow.

    At this time, we're planning maintenance to be finished by 8am EDT. We appreciate everyone's patience.



    Not an answer, but maybe an answer is coming. Who knows ?

    I doubt we'll ever hear what went wrong and there'll be no remedy, but at least there's a fix in the works. My sympathy with the EU server, you guys deserve better than you get.
