In particular the new isitrus is one of the worst pvp maps in any game Ive ever seen. The old maps were considerably better.

The fact that you have to play too often as 3 vs 4 vs 4 fks me way more up. 3 BGs today: all 3 with only 2 mates ... such a *** system

I understand that is frustrating, but to be honest, its not as pressing of a concern. These new maps have many players considering auto quitting them. Thats how bad to play they are, especially in high mmr fights.

They're abysmal, especially Istirus -- it's become such a tiny moshpit of AoEs. No more strategy but staying glued with a healer and there's hardly any opportunity to escape attackers. Ald Carac is not as bad, to be honest. At least there's some breathing room.

What's fun in larger maps, like Arcane University and old Istirus, is that DMs on those same maps feel different because the fight can take place in several different places depending on the match you're in.

Right now, I think Imperial City and other BG modes are far more enjoyable than those new air-tight moshpits.

Isitrus is a particular offender. The massive targeting issues along with too much cover lead to narrow corridor fights which arent fun at all. And if you dont have a a healer? GG.

Another problem with that map is that players up top can target players in the middle of the map, but not vice versa, unless the player on top is at the very edge of the arena. This leads to everyone staying out of the middle, which is the "arena" they were trying to push.

I don't understand why this happened at all. Like, there are so many suggestions and complaints in the BG section of the forums that haven't been addressed at all and ZOS thought this would be a good use of their time and resources?

I dont understand why ZoS changed the maps? They were well designed and now they are all with choke points for AoEs.
Old maps are way better than the new maps.
    Because I can!

There is pretty much nothing the new maps do well. Agreed.

Well there is always one person who posts contrary opinions just to be contrary eh?

Would you like to elaborate on why? You are quite literally the first person ive seen like these new maps. Ive spoken to dozens of PC na regular BG players

For example the Istirus - arena deathmatch map is fast paced which creates a huge mayhem which is fun imo.

Its nice that you like to undermine my opinion because i'm just do it to be contrary. Nice base for a normal discussion.

I assumed bad faith due to the fact that quite literally no one I have spoken with prior to you had the slightest positive opinion on the new maps. And several days later, you are still the only person Ive heard express anything positive about them.

You have to start asking for what you dont want. Then ZoS will do the opposite.

ZoS thought we would all rush to the middle of the arena and let the last ones standing be the winners.

    They thought wrong.

Just like multi bidding. Nobody wanted this, nobody likes this. We're all confused why this happened. Yay.

I don't want to not crash while rebuilding my characters to use the new skills/sets that are revamped with every patch.

    ...did it work?

What made you think they'd actually fix something no one likes?
