Winter's Peak Outpost: Dc guards not agroing EP attacker.

I attempted to take this outpost solo on level 19 necro and cleared the porch mobs. Then i placed 4 ballistae on porch sieging front door. When they respawned the only mob that attacked was the mender. I proceeded to open the FD and once inside, few (maybe none?) agro'ed and i was able to move about agro free despite guards being present on flags and the standard places within 2 m of my toon.
This was one occurrence on former Kyne but will update it if happens again.
