Anyone try it? Can it proc on mag Templar jabbs or heal beam? Can it it up 100% time as long as got hot on?
Gossamer
(2 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
(3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(4 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
(5 items) When you heal yourself or an ally, you grant them Major Evasion for 2 seconds, reducing damage from area attacks by 25%.

Overall, it's slightly better than before the patch ... since ZOS took away the 10% proc chance.

Remember it doesn't proc when you overheal.

So, getting a 100% uptime with even the lowest-skilled pugs is a myth ... unless the player wearing Gossamer is a low-skilled pug. ;)

Yes, it will proc on you for Templar Radiant Glory and Puncturing Sweep (but not your teammates).

It's been working OK in Vet Dungeons for me, but I haven't tried it in a raid setting yet (I do more PvP than PvE).

Running Curse Eater with it for now on my healer ... but will probably change that up soon for raids.

It was a good "zerg defender" set before and now its even better. Just place a ground hot and everybody standing inside will enjoy Major Eva for whole duration of it.

If it doesn't proc on full health, shield users are really screwed with this set (as usual).

Didn't this set used to only hit 1 target at a time? Anyone know if it hits more than one now? Don't have the set yet, so I can't test myself

Looks like someone isn't reading ... and there were only two posts ahead of this post.

Gossamer does not proc when you overheal.

Yeah, there are some heavy fights where you will get lots of uptime with squishy DPS ... such as the 3rd Boss in Moongrave Fane (Lava Geysers).

But, expecting 100% uptime in your Templar Extended Ritual is folly at best.

There is no target limit in the tooltip ... and I did have Major Evasion up on all four of us in certain situational fighting. Not tested in raid yet, but will soon.

Tysm, just wanted to check since some sets have hidden internal cooldowns and other secrets.

Yes, must be such a shame never leaving full hp... Totally screwed right?

The whole point of Major Evasion is to lessen the blow of something like Dawnbreaker. If it wipes you shield and half your health BEFORE it procs, then what is the point?

Last patch before the change there was a target limit of 6, we tested this multiple times.

However, we have not had the opportunity to retest the limit of targets since the patch.
This is the kind of thing ZoS tweaks/adjusts silently all the time without saying.

    As of last patch:

Olorime - no target limit, 1x can buff a 24 person raid.
Transmutation - no target limit, 1x can buff a 24 person raid, but realistically the effect can only affect as many people as you can put regeneration effects on and heal them.
    Gossamer - 6 target cap
Spell Power Cure - 6 target cap
Stendarr's - no target limit at all, cooldown is on the target.
Sanctuary - tiny range, 12 target cap (spelled out in ability text)
Worm & Hircines - large range, 12 target cap (spelled out in ability text)
Meritorious Service & Powerful Assault - 4 person hard cap.

Many of these have changed patch to patch, trans has been as few as 6, and for a very long time was 12. Meritorious service at one point could hit far more than the 4 listed, rather it was 4 per cast. I've not seen anyone testing and making this information public, so if someone has seen it or done similar testing let us know.

Nobody just leads with an ultimate unless its a synced group dump, and even then someone is going to be running something splash like hurricane or light attacks before it dumps. Collateral damage is abundant in pvp, and gossamer is a highly effective set. Same thing with transmutation. These sets are most frequently procced by stuff that heals every second for smaller amounts, notably radiant regeneration and illustrious healing, as well as class based skills like refreshing path & budding seeds.

These sets are designed for larger groups where you have coordinated healers, however I'd say any group of 10+ would benefit from gossamer. Bare in mind the number of nightblades & stamina folks in the group will count against how many folks will benefit from gossamer since shuffle & phantasmal escape provide a much more consistent source of major evasion for the users. Transmutation is going to be the set you want to add to a group first though in my experience as its larger mitigation, affects all players in the group equally, and is always valuable.
