Can't decide my Khajiit class

Hello everyone!

Well, I am a new player, so I was looking for what class should I take. Race: Khajiit.
I am a casual player so I don't care much about anything else other than look haha. I want a heavy armor, two handed weapond (not necessary) "knight". So, what class fits better to this kind of character (best skills animations)?, a nightblade or a templar? If you have some pictures of how does a heavy armor looks on a khajiit, I'll be grateful.

I know that there is a dragonknight class, but I already have a concept for that class with an Argonian.

Thanks all!!

You could go Necro too. Like an EQ deathknight and use dots and a 2 hander. That’s what I did with mine.
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

I think Templar and nb both pull off the "knight" theme well, Templar more the "holy knight" type nb more of.. an unholy knight? So you could base it off that difference, or if you're still undecided, I think nb synergizes great with khajiit as the have passives and abilities that will play off of you class crit and stealth passives.

    Welcome!

Thanks to the outfit system in the game, you can slot any known motif armor into a cosmetic outfit that will go over the top of anything you have actually equipped on your character. It'll take a bit of grinding to get the fancier/newer motifs but you can acquire a full set of the base race motifs for very little and even some of the older "rare" motifs can be acquired for very little.

If you don't care to go the crafter route, there are many middling to strong sets available to you just from playing through zones and quest lines.

In terms of the skill, I would liken Templar to a sort of paladin while nightblade is more a stealthy/ninja like character. All classes have access to either stamina or magicka builds, but in terms of looking like a knight and using the weapons you mentioned I would suggest going for stamina builds.

If you would like to see what armors are available and how they look, I would suggest looking on https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/ as they often show what armors look like on most races.

Based on what you mentioned I think templar would likely be a better fit, but it would be worth looking at some videos showing both in action.

The only thing I would mention is that (at least for me personally) helmets on khajiit look a bit odd though some of the newest motifs from Elswheyr are Khajiit focused and do look a bit better but can be a bit of a grind for someone just starting out.

Hope this helps, feel free to shoot a message if you have any questions!

I like the Khajiit race and I wound up making one of each class that is a kitty. They were named/colored for former pets that we had.

I think that you are going to run into issues long term with your armor choice, basically a simplified armor type breakdown :
    Light Armour - Magica
    Medium - Stamina
    Heavy - Health.

You can always change the enchant on an armour item, but you cant change the set bonuses to match what you want.

So if you don't want to be a tank, your looking at either Medium or Light armour for your end game sets.

If you want to use the 2H weapon skills, then you want Medium armour set, and the class doesnt matter that much as your not using that many class skills.
If the 2H is mainly for looks, then you could go with a Magica build and Templar would be a good choice.

Note: I leveled my Mag Templar with 1H/Shield as I liked the look, then I switched at level 50 to a staff for better DPS.

I know that this does not directly answer your question, but I hope it helps.

Edit: as MrGhostly pointed out, you can go the costume/outfit route to hide what your actually wearing, but keep in mind that what you are going to be looking for as drops will be either Light or Medium depending on if you go Mag or Stam build.

Templar is probably the most knight-like. Divine spear, Holy Flames, and Healing magic.

You could just wear medium armor for the stats, but have a heavy armor outfit override.

You could definitely be a Nightblade and go for a Shadow Knight type vibe too, might be more fitting as a Khajiit.

If you use a 2h then using some of the Nightblade abilities looks a bit weird since you use a small dagger in the animations, if you go with Nightblade. Then again Templar has your 2h turning into a Divine spear sometimes too.

I think I will start playing with a Templar 2H / Bow. And then depengind of how I feel, I'll change to NB or not.
I will create the "Dark Knight" style with an Argonian DragonKnight Tank.

Nightblade and Templar both can well utilize and synergize with your Khajiit racials and can both be a good "knight" character, each with their distinctively different playstyle and theme.

As somebody mentioned, Templar is your typical holy knight, spells of light and healing are its main theme and it can perform every role decently however excells as a healer. It's a fun bursty class and going 2h is entirely possible. There isn't much to add as it's a well rounded straight to the point class.

Nightblade would be your Shadow Knight, relying on blood magic, and high burst as well as all kinds of deceptive skills to fool your enemies. If built and played well on a Khajiit you can run around endlessly and make your enemies hate the day they were born. They Excell at rogue play and for story reasons, If you plan on getting thieves guild and dark brotherhood done, there isn't a better class. Their self healing and defence is generally on the weaker side but there's plenty of options to work around it and make it seem a ton tankier. They can heal and tank really well too.

Your last option is a Death Knight Necromancer, I haven't messed with that though so I'll leave out any comments. All I can say is that they're doing really well overall from what I've seen and are very useful in groups.

Khajti heavy armor nightblades are good for PVP but it feels sight out of theme to be a in your face assassin.

Templars do give that brawler aesthetic for that heavy armor fighting

I'd suggest templar or sorceror. You can make all classes stamina-based and use a two-handed weapon with them if you want to. I mention this because when I was new to ESO I didn't know that sorcerors could be stamina characters. LOL. I just thought of them as magicka-only at first.
Kitty nightblades are super fun, but nightblades have a steeper learning curve to master the class. If you're new to the game, they might be frustrating to play.

If you’re set on Khajiit, I’d say Necromancer is the best option. They have a passive that gives a massive boost to crit chance against low-health enemies, which synergizes well with Khajiit’s increased critical damage. Stamina necromancer also happens to be the best DPS build at the moment (although this changes frequently), and has a fairly easy static rotation.

The next choice would be Nightblade. They also have some nice crit passives that work well with Khajiit. Nightblade is more fast-paced and dynamic than Necromancer. It performs about as well, but requires more skill and IMO is more fun.

I started the game with the same mindset and went with sorcerer for my khajiit. I would take the same decision again and again if I could go back. Stamina sorcerer is a very good class that rely heavily on weapons.
