Favorite Memory of ESO So Far?

billywink3b14_ESO
My favorite memory is pretty simple but it always brings me back no matter how long of a break I take.

I remember in BETA I knew I wanted to be part of DC so in Beta I played every class up to the ending of Betnikh but never finished it to go to Daggerfall as I didn't want to "spoil" anymore of the game for myself.

So when the game came out and I finished Betnikh, my favorite memory is walking off that boat and just looking at what looked like a gigantic walled city with towers everywhere. The sun was out with a nice glare and I just remember thinking "This really does look so beautiful!!! I could live here..". I always remember the feeling of excitement when I look back on it and sometimes I just run down to the docks in Daggerfall to "relive" it.

That really hooked me into the game and keeps me going, the scenery at some spots in this game is just amazing.

Before One Tamriel. When i reached Fort Virak in the Stonefalls questline, i saw a bridge past it going northwest. I looked at the map, seeing it went to Skyrim, and had an "OH COOL" moment. When i loaded into The Rift and walked up the road a ways, i received a firm handed notice that i had left my lvl15 land of teddy bears via a bypass directly into the land of lvl45 bullies. I knew then this game had some tough areas and i needed to level.

I also had a lesson from a guy on the zombie beach at Sentinel. I had gotten the idea that you can farm those zombies for PURPLE GEAR which was super duper good... He ran into me and taught me the importance of gear sets, skills to use, weapons etc. At the time, i had already reached like Vet Lvl 4.

Then there was the time i got invited to my first guild by the guy i tried selling a Malachite to.

My little elf absolutely loves simply walking her precious mare along the coastal area of northwest Auridon. Beautiful area, wonderful music, so peaceful and relaxing. It is a beautiful memory that we can refresh and enjoy whenever we like. :)

The first time i played ESO with my nvidia 3D vision setup!

Gamma correction turned down, lights in the room off, 3D glasses on my face, switched to 1st person view, ported into Fungal Grotto and it was simply breathtaking. Some of them dungeons are beautiful, especially in 3D.

When everybody was still a noob in PvP, and people actually cared for defending keeps and taking scrolls and it felt like a team game.

And there was little to no lag, no carrysets (proc sets) no poisons, and still a bit of healers, tank, dd instead of one build can do all.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Game is great when its new as in fresh, my main soaked up so much content and enjoyed myself.
Finishing mages guild, undaunted, enough skill points to live comfortably. Cadwells Gold, Main Story.
(now I can't bring myself to go through it all again)
PvP with the The Noore, more pvp with Moonlight and Misfits

    Memories, sorry.
As for memory, I myself didn't soak up any content, i cant recall a damn thing really.

too many to count, but here's some of mine i look back on fondly.

Seeing the final boss of vMoL for the first time, the way the wall blasts open and gives way to the endless dancing void as the drums got heavier gave me goosebumps.

Most of the space around Aetherian Archive for the first time. Seeing her bring down the sun to kill us for the first time.

Hearing that fat sexy Esraj the first time i loaded in to Elsweyr.

Getting the Worm Wizard personality. vFLhm is still one of my favorite and least favorite fights ever because of how emotional it was for me. I still permaslot that personality on all my toons to this day.

on a sadder note, back when level mattered and i could die. I don't die to overworld at all anymore. literally all [all] of my deaths in the past year or so can be accounted by 1) tanks losing aggro of a boss/mini 2) fall damage because I was lazy 3) world boss i tried soloing. I miss when you would skip 3 zones ahead and get your butt shredded to you like cheese and served on a taco of your death by a hyena outside of Sentinel. The ones that die in 1 light attack now. Sigh. Exploration felt so much more impactful back then.. it definitely had its downsides, don't get me wrong, and I love the current system, but I miss the danger and excitement of classic level scaling.

Running around IC with a group of 3 fighting blues and yellows while farming telvar. They were good friends. But they were last online 2 years ago now but we don't know each other outside ESO. Last I talked to them, they were starting college soon and were not going to be able to play as much.

I wonder how they are now...

First time was in the beta, during a relatively simple overworld quest where some Argonian NPC was devastated over the loss of his missing guars. And when I asked why he cared so much, he said they were family. I know it's just one little line most people probably don't pay much attention to, but I just thought it was nice how every race of Tamriel has its own quirks and habits and culture. It really made me like Argonians.

First time I rode into Cyrodiil, saw god knows how many people on their mounts, then everyone setting up their siege was quite something, as well.

And finishing vMA for the first time. Seemed absolutely impossible, then you start figuring out the mechanics for every section, you start getting better at it and then I even ended up on the leaderboards, because apparently on a DK it's impossible not to.

probably shortly after launch when me and my friend were going through the vet zones for the first time on our first characters. the vet zones were such an ordeal back then it was like we were in a foxhole together with how much we had to rely on eachother's builds' strengths to get through quests and such

it's a collection of memories that have stuck with me over the years

My first day in Cyrodiil when I found the Johnny Hammersticks emp zerg and followed it from Bleakers to Chalman. The excitement of riding along with a large group of comrades into battle was the most thrilling thing I had ever experienced up to that point in my many years of gaming, and hooked me on ESO PvP.

First time I ever saw Wayrest I thought it looked amazing.

That was when I was a noob and just walked everywhere instead of taking wayshrines, since I didn't have many wayshrines yet, and hadn't yet discovered that if you join a guild you can do the "travel to player" thing to get wayshrines.

But other than that, my favorite memory is feeling accomplished the first time I ever finished (normal) Maelstrom. I had been afraid to do it for a long time.
