CuteKirby

I can't link the photo here, but theres a female vampire breton on eyevea with generic dialogue among the lines of "akatosh bless you". Is this a bug?
Aren't vampires supposed to resent akatosh?

You're thinking arkay. Arkay is life, hates undead. Akatosh is the dragon god of time and (I believe) order.

I know my divines well :P but is it a glitch that a random mage on the island a vampire? Plus I don't think akatosh wouldn't appreciate vampires much either.

I don't recall vampires having a specific problem with Akatosh. The more well known, and widely believed, Vampire origin lore (Dunmer have a slightly different origin lore I think) had to do with a little spat between Molag Bal and Arkay.

    What makes you say this?

As far as the mages guild goes, I could see them making exceptions for some undead seeing as they at least cordially work with the spirit of a Nord ghost. Maybe a vampire would be welcomed, of kept on a short leash.

Akatosh is god of time. Jyggalag was the god of order, logic and reason before he was cursed to become Sheogorath. He currently exists as a forgotten identity in Sheogorath, who is technically amnesiac Jyggalag who represents the exact opposite virtues as his original ego. At the end of every era, the curse is broken temporarily, allowing the prince of madness and chaos to regain his true memories and thereby his original form of Jyggalag.

I know about jygglag and whatnot but the vampire also mentions mara's bosom and whatnot so its just generic dialogue
Idk if they intentionally made a random vampire or not

Why? Nothing about being a vampire says you must suddenly resent the Divines with all of your undead heart, and being a breton she has likely worshipped them all her life. She might not even be a vampire by choice, as in turned against her will, so she'd likely continue worship them and maybe hope for a cure.

Or it's just simple things such as; old habits die hard. She is used to saying exclamations and phrases regarding them so she will continue to do so.

ESO vampires have evolved over the years, they are no longer controlled by their hunger for blood, nor are their intents driven to malice. Today's vampire can be what they want to be in a world without absurd hate and prejudice. Now that people understand vampires better because of their vast numbers and most of them being "out" people realize they aren't blood thirsty monsters but people just like everyone else suffering an unfortunate affliction.

Vampires just need love like everyone else. I am a vampire and I live a vegan lifestyle, sure I have to deal with stage 4 a lot more than I'd like but a little red tea takes the edge off. I'm a dunmer vampire too and I see how hatred and prejudice has harmed vampire culture, so I fight for the rights on the streets of Ebonheart daily of other race vampires so Argonian and nord vampires get the same just treatment we have all come to expect in the pact.

No. People of Tamriel still hates them and for good reasons, such as being the dangerous spawn of Molag Bal and their hunger never goes away. Most vampires in TES are monsters who only cause malice, the ones who don't are exceptions, not the general rule. Because becoming a vampire in TES and everything bad that entails, is often a choice done willingly by that person. Few decent people choose to become a vampire, and those who do are usually forced.

I'm sure even Vampires can appreciate a nice Bosom.

It's sad to see such regressive thinking still in Tamriel. I hope you can overcome your prejudice and I say that from the bottom of my Lamae blessed heart. Most vampires you know are the people all around you in town, your friends, fellow adventurers, travelers in life, maybe even someone closer to you than that. Almost everyone you know has been a vampire at one time or another, and are all your friends evil and dangerous? I think not! But this is what prejudice does, it lets people accept hatred blindly without examining the empirical truth of the environment around them. Go ahead, stand at the center of Ebonheart and you will see how common it is to be surrounded by loving vampires just like me. Open your eyes to the world around you and stop accepting other people's "truths." To quote Joseph Campbell a wise Breton of a recent age, "Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls."

Oh I like vampires just fine. I just don't like a positive attitude for the ones in Tamriel, because I'm a sticker for lore. When I want my vampire itch scratched I just go play something World of Darkness ;)
