After a day of PvPing in this new patch I have to say...
PvP is a mess, some steps have been taken in the right direction and some steps have been taken in the wrong direction and I'll try to do some light clarification below.
Snares:
You're still snared for 90% of the time you're in combat, this has been a mess since Murkmire and is still a mess now, combat feels so sluggish and clunky when trying to land thinsg like melee abilities when you're character is wading through treacle to move the entire time. Having to recast Forward momentum every 4 seconds or Shuffle every 6 Seconds isn't something I should have to do when in a fight.
It makes abilities like Dizzying Swing almost unusable because you move too slowly to keep up with your opponent for it to actually hit. This is also carried over to the new cast times on ultimates, which is another annoyance in itself, no being able to animation cancel an ultimate you drop just adds to the feeling of PvP feeling clunky and slow and if anything, only punishes the players who actually knew what they were doing in combat.
DOTS:
This is another big issue I'm seeing in the latest patch, the number of powerful Single Target DOTS now is just too damned high.
The fact that players can now stack so many high damage DOTS on someone means if you're a class that can't run a cleanse or a spammable self heal or shield, you're in a really tough spot because they stack up to chew down you're health in seconds.
Most of the recaps I look at in BG's run along the same lines: Soul Trap, Entropy, Destructive Reach + Class DOT + Something.
It's not a fun gameplay, especially considering abilities like Soul Trap and Entropy aren't dodgeable so the counter play is extremely limited.
Extra stuff that will never get fixed:
Facing premades in BG's still sucks.
Drinking a potion, hearing the potion noise only the find out that your character didn't drink the potion.
CC breaks and abilities having massive delays (Can take like 2 seconds for the game to register a CC break in BG's) + lag in general.
Dodge roll timing is still off from the Dodge changes that were implemented a few patches ago, being hit by things that you are clearly dodging and dodging things that you're clearly not dodging.
Still no new Gear Sets or Armour sets in Battlegrounds, Cyrodiil or Imperial City to give actual incentive to do them.
Imperial City still completely dead, rework it.
P.S. Please add a structured 2 v 2 PvP as 4 v 4 v 4 BG's feel very hectic and messy.
