Soul Trap DOT is Blockable?

Was playing my first BG in Scalebreaker and had poison injection and consuming trap ticking on a blocking DK. One DOT was going through and the other was being blocked. I don't have a buddy to test this with but I would assume it was consuming trap since poison inject hasn't done this in the past. That or DK has a skill that I'm unaware of that would cause this. I was dead and he was running away and I'm not running poisons or axes or anything else that would passively apply DOTs.
