My best run in VMA ruined by this

I have constantly desyncs at the final boss in arena 9. Honestly its just too frustrating for me. How can they come up with an arena where its crucial you don't make any mistakes and can't provide the proper code to handle it?

Isn't it ironic that the worst desyncs seem to happen on arena 7 which is widely known for being the worst and most frustrating arena in vMA

That exact same thing happened to me yesterday. I seriously don't understand why people including myself play this game.

It's beyond ridiculous at the moment. The RNG in certain arenas is already annoying as hell and the desync is just the cherry on top.

Anyone that's an expert on mmos know if bugs like this are actually preventable? While I share everyone's frustration with it, I've been amazed how far online games in general have come, allowing such fast and dynamic gameplay on a network that spans a continent or more.

I imagine that some of this is just the nature of the technology and tbh I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often, but I don't actually know.

Anecdotally, seems to be particularly bad during the event. I've given up on leaderboarding/flawless runs during the event. Died once in round 3 (a round I've never wiped in) due to desync, then ran through the rest without dying. 14/15 bonus...Buncha BS.

I'm getting two bugs I've never had in vma before. One, I spam puncturing sweeps, and even though the animation goes off it just doesn't land at all on the enemy like 3 times in a row (three full spams, not three hits of the skill). Two I will cast a skill (blazing spear etc) and the cooldown timer of your add-on goes off so you know you really hit it, but there's no animation or damage and you have to recast? Also seems like my damage shield is not working a lot of the time, but it's harder to be sure about that.

This is on top of the normal desynch bugs and dying from red circles your not standing in. Finding it very hard to get through this even though I've done it with less trouble before.

Mate I don't think you understand the meaning of ironic. A proper statement would have been "Isn't it ironic that stage 1, the easiest stage in the arena, has the worst desync issues?"

Sending feels to the OP. The RGN in that round is infuriating enough without the garbage performance issues. On the upside, it's nice when the Venomcaller spawns in the middle of the room.

I got the same death today because of this.
I think this is because they changed the lag screen indicator to update less so it won't show you did got 1k latency at that moment.
Very funny death I know.

My friend had always desync until we found out that is was a auto-repair-addon. Check that if you have problem with desync. Might certainly not always be the case, but still.

I returned to VMA with Elsweyr after a hiatus and noticed that as well as archers turning, the venom callers would sometimes leave their platforms. So the whole stage is stuffed IMO.

Haven't been in there in the past month (since I got my Flawless) and probably won't ever again... but I feel ya, man. That place literally gave me a headache on more than one occasion.
