This is wrong and just a waste of Zos time , i cant say who it is but we all now who we are talking about here,
and this is all so a form of harassment when said person massages every on abusing them.

I'm reasonably confident that ZOS can tell the difference between someone who makes a report in good faith that turns out to be mistaken vs someone who reports everyone who kills them for hacking, you know?

Also, just throwing this out there, but just because someone says they reported you doesn't mean they actually did.

"Reported for hacking enjoy your ban" is like the warcry after battle for those who have been smited.

This person is what's wrong with MMO's in general.
Players should really learn to lose with at least a hint of grace.

Well, ZoS doesn’t really do anything when you report actual harassment and new bugs you’ve discovered.

So i guess it’s fair to say that ZoS’ stance is to go about business as usual.

I think at this point for that one guy, they have a special subroutine that reroutes his "reports" to the circular file.

Also, please don't let him catch you and win even if its 1v1 coldfire, its even worse than when he loses.

All your reports automatically land in the trash bin. Nobody at ZOS is manually looking at them. They might have a system in place thought that alerts them to players whose names pop up frequently. Those reports might get some closer inspection. Everything else is filtered out into the trash.

And given how long some obvious cheaters during the height of the cheat-engine outbreak, there aren't many people looking into these frequently reported players either. Perhaps there is even nobody, and they only act when it is getting completely out of hand, otherwise relying on their automated cheat detection to take care of it.

Yup unfortunately this is the mindset of maaaaaaaaaaaany players, and to be completely fair and honest I rode that horse for far too long too.

It's way easier to simply say "hes cheating" than it is to look inward and realize you aren't actually that good at all.

Although, there are suspect players and groups in the game, that video showcases the problem with misinformation and accusations floating around this game.

False report with no evidence no clue.

False report with photoshopped/altered fake evidence, there has been at least one ban back a few years ago. Of course at the same time that could just have been said as an excuse if they got banned for a different reason...

I have a feeling reports are not really looked at till a certain amount of reports against a user happen, if at all. *** it took quite a few of us sending video evidence of a heavy attack, sorc pet build, spam bot, over a course of six months for the guy to be banned.

Pro tip: if you report someone add them to your ignore list. If they stay on the list they haven't been banned, if they disappear they have. If they change @names then the new name will be on the list. This is the only way you will know if it's happened, unless the user confesses somewhere.
