    If he's that corrupt, why doesn't he just get a government job? Nobody'll hunt him and his hoard will grow twice as fast, at least.

    Probably because he is in Grahtwood, no self respecting official would want to have to climb that stupid tree each day to get to their office. It's bad enough that you can't run in a straight line for more than 300 feet in the zone. Now that I've typed that that also explains why he is in such a foul mood all the time.

    Depends how thick those branches are and where his office is. Actually on reflection, any branch sturdy enough to hold his weight is going to have to be near the trunk anyway, so taking the stairs might actually be easier than ripping through half the city to get to work each morning.
