How I’d Like To See Patches Implemented

ZOS is probably never going to shift to an incremental adjustment schedule but I would like to see some sort of compromise. To this end I think it would make sense to have the PTS cycle and then a one week live period after which a final set of changes would be patched in. This would allow us time to really see how things functioned like the major expedition on shuffle or vigor prior to the nerfs today. The problem right now is that any testing takes place in a vacuum and people tend to look at tooltips as apposed to actual function (especially where PvP is concerned) because outside of duels there really isn’t any way to test. The real difficulty here is that ZOS would have to really gather feedback from people who can show evidence of something over or under performing. But I still think this would be better than finalizing all changes before any live testing and then closing the case for another six months or potentially indefinitely.

That's not really a compromise. You want to take players to PTS, not take the PTS to live. Just imagine the mess of broken abilities and exploits affecting the live servers instead of PTS before they get fixed. People would set up new world records left and right which nobody will ever come close to until the next week of live testing.

A true fix would be to reward players for testing. Pay us in crowns or crown crates for every bug we find and report that could be confirmed by ZOS. Put up some instructions for specific tests that ZOS wants us to do en mass with a clear reward at the end. Give more players a reason to go and start testing in a way that doesn't affect the Live server negatively. Never underestimate how much players can be motivated through greed.

Now all that's left to do is convince accounting that increased testing will positively impact the quality of the game, which will lead to player growth and more ingame purchases thus offsetting the investment of motivating/bribing the playerbase with crowns/crown crates.

This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

No, we’d still have the PTS cycle but leave a weak of live testing with one last patch day for changes.

No because that would probably delay things coming out on console a week longer since we generally don't get incremental adjustment.
