Crown Crate Discount

Second time, back-to-back seasons where I buy +10k worth of crown crates, only for them to go on sale shortly after. This isn't meant to be a whine/gimme a refund post, but warning others about the lesson I've learned. Normally, I never complain about ZoS and love nearly everything they do, but saw this today in the August preview and irritated me, especially after buying so many just to get the mount I wanted. Also, this isn't a complaint against crown crate RNG, just the fact that I'm better off waiting for these eminent sales now.
TL;DR Not buying crates full price anymore, because they'll just go on sale.

✭✭✭They've been offering discounts on Crown Crates ever since the ESO Plus discount system was implemented in Murkmire.
However, the Crown Crates are only discounted if 1) You are an ESO Plus subscriber 2) You buy the largest 15-Crate-Bundle 3) You wait a while without getting any new items since the discount goes up around the middle/end of the season not at the start.
If you fulfil all three requirements, and are happy to wait for it, then yes you're better off waiting for the discount
But if people aren't subs, or if they're buying a small number of crates, or if they want the items when they come out, they'll still have to buy the full-priced crates. 2 -

I don't mind picking up one pack of 15 per season: My ESO+ pays for it. It's like buying a scratch-card. Just a bit of fun with a game of chance.
