But enchanting writs are not self sustaining, I keep an eye out of my stocks. I have 2k oko, deni and 2.5k makko. Though, if you collect surveys on time, you might get enchanting stuff back.5 -

If you never do them, you probably have piles of the same survey, so pick the one you have the most of and do it. That should have you set for a month.The Moot Councillor1 -

If you're doing writs, look at the consumption patterns. You use 1 oko every 3 days to make a health glyph. If your enchanting level is 1,4,7, or 10, you will be asked to provide another oko every 3 days. I think all 3 of the armor runes (makko, deni, oko) drop close to equally. So it's that extra oko that drives demand for those doing writs. I made sure that my characters who are not doing top level enchanting are at a level where the extra rune is one of the other two, to avoid having to shop for oko regularly.2 -

DocDova✭✭✭Actually oko has same chance as other runes, but other than glyph, writ also ask for one rune which could be ta or jera or oko, so you would be spending 2 oko over 3 day period on a toon, while only one of each deni and makko and 4 ta and 3 jora.1

No, but then again half the tasks in ESO aren't really fun, in my opinion. They just pave the way so I can have fun later on, which is endgame content for me (i.e. vAS+2 or vSS HMs).1 -

As has been mentioned before, top tier enchanting writs require one of three glyphs (magicka, stamina, or health) and then days that ask for a magicka glyph also require an oko runestune. 2 out of 3 days in the cycle require an oko in some form, leading them to be used twice as fast. They're not sold by NPCs and farming isn't a reliable way of getting more as there are 17 essence runestones that can be harvested from a node. Even surveys aren't reliable because I can harvest a potent runestone and still not receive a single oko. Once upon a time, I had about an equal split between oko, makko, and deni; now I have over 1200 of the latter and less than 400 oko. And I use makko most often for my personal glyphs as I play mainly magicka characters.
