Fury Still Going to be a Meta Set?

When I saw that the set procs on all damage instead of just crits I was interested in trying the set until I saw that the buff won’t refresh itself at max stacks. I have never used fury before but I think it will still be very strong with the changes. 10 second uptime on max stacks and 10 seconds to refresh to full 600 weapon damage in a perfect scenario and will be much easier to build stacks in fights with less opponents / 1v1.
Current or potential new users of fury, what are your thoughts? Will you still be using the set?
I am running 6 medium 1 heavy currently with automaton and am trying to compare a static 400 weapon damage to variable 600 WD.
On the downside you have to be getting constantly hit for the procs to build and it could be easy to lose your stacks when kiting or LOSing which is common defensive strategy for medium builds. The incoming DOT meta may help keep your stacks alive when kiting still. Automaton will always give me the weapon damage so I don’t have to wait to time burst or have to keep track of my stacks; it will always be there when I need it. On stam sorc the only skill I would use that doesn’t benefit is poison injection which is only there for the master’s buff anyways. On the upside fury buffs heals, unlike automaton, and has potential for an additional 200 weapon damage. Thoughts?
