Elemental Weapon after next update

Will we no longer need Elemental Weapon after the next update to be fantastically great? I'm a stormy storm sorc and I love my toon. Have to admit, Elemental Weapon is STRONG but quite annoying to use. Cheers and tanks a lot for any help in dis stuff.
