achievement trade in BG

is this permitted? i joined when BG was already almost finished, and everyone was simply standing in the middle feeding healing to the ball carrier to make their achievements. In the end the other team took the ball and did the same thing, enemy teams ending at 500 and 490 points, and my team at 10. So i must suppose that the team i was in, was the feeder and the others were the leaders of the operation.

Just another example of why battlegrounds are a joke. I'm always amused when players talk about "competitive play" in ESO when it comes to PvP, especially battlegrounds. I love PvP in this game, but this just shows why exploits make it impossible to talk about competitive play being taken seriously.

There is a way to not enable this kind of thing, and just make battlegrounds a completely random queue. No premades allowed. Solves the pug stomping issue and ridiculous exploits like this in one broad stroke.

If you're gonna complain about "not being able to play with friends", remember this post as an example of why we can't have nice things. There's always a few bad apples that spoil the bunch.

I personally don´t have a problem with it, if I´m on my main I´ll just try to see what part of an achievement I can get myself, and if I already have it I might as well tag along and help. Especially with the harder achievements evolving the chaos ball. Is it cheese? I guess, but does no real harm tbh.

Yeah, OP, screw your time in the queue and wanting a fair match and playing for the purpose the match was designed for.
No real harm in cheesing achievement instead of actually earning it.

Thanks for proving my point. Didn't have to wait long.

Should´ve been more specific on what scenario I meant:

Getting 12 people together and hope that the BG finder queues all the 12 of you into the same game to farm an achievement. That I´ve no issues with.

And in OP´s scenario, nothing stops his team from ruining their "achievement farm" and getting the ball.

And one of the main reasons achievements like "Chaos Guardian" or "Chaos Champion" are cheesed is because there´s no way to track how much damage or healing you´ve done to chaos ball carrier in a game. There needs to be a tracking system that tells me after each game how much damage and healing I did to the ones holding the chaos ball.

This would indeed be a very good improvement to BGs. One premade may make 4 happy, but much more unhappy. Time to have totally random groups at all times :+1:

If you can sell skins, titles like emperor etc, you can also cheese achis from BGs.

Yeah, blame ZoS for giving us achievements to do, that can only be done by cheesing them. Probably the fault lies in constant changes to how combat works and the achievements not being updated to reflect that. But some of those are not possible today without cheesing. So that is what ppl do :)

I d like to make a few thing clear for all those hard-core PVP-ers out there.

This is an Elder Scrolls title. Most people who play this game are fans of TES series and universe. This universe Bethesda has created is targeted at those who love exploring and questing, RP-ing as a hero and explorer, a true adventurer. For all these people, PVP means NOTHING !

What, I personally think ZoS did, was to TRY and satisfy a WIDER range of players, including those hard-core PVP-ers who either come from different games (like WoW) or are here for a pure PVP experience in this exact universe and lore. They (ZoS) advertise "Play the way you want" pretty strong and clear, meaning this game will allow one to do whatever they want, including grouping up with friends and "cheesing" some achievements.

What I'd like for this community, at large, to understand is the risk of such things happening. We re part of a pretty large group of players who play this game, so is inevitable to run into such pre-made structures. Do you think these RP-ers like seeing their 10h grind in Cyrodiil being thrown to **** by a guy who sells an Elder Scroll? Or you think achievement hunters like seeing their very last keep required for emperor been taken away after 3 days of full AP grind? Like the other alliance woke up specifically to **** in that guys mouth on the last keep, so they can crown their own emp first (who'll also leave the camp after he gets the achiv).

You cannot expect things to go as you see them, or how devs intended. You just gotta leave with it. Is hard, and it sucks at times, but is true and it will go on.

P.S: Some players buy trial HM clears and skins, so cheese is EVERYWHERE !

P.P.S: Try and come with a plausible alternative next time u complain about something ^^ it will definitely help more !

Take care, and be understanding of other player's way of enjoying this game :D
