I agree, but all of ESO's Chapters tend to be quite highly priced despite being glorified DLCs. Elsweyr is at least on par with the previous Chapters, it's a decent DLC. And no, CE isn't worth imo. The pet and mount you get are not unique, there are already datamined recolours of the same models. Here are all the perks of CE, you can decide if it's worth it to you.This still feels expensive at 35% off. I might buy it anyway. Any real reason to get collector's over regular?

Look, most people aren't just endlessly farming dragons on the same character. They're doing their daily and maybe switching toons to do it on another. Each daily is only 3 dragons. There's just no way for it to come out as a time saver for them to kill dragons in any order other than "which can I get to fastest right now" and that's always going to be the northern one nearest a wayshrine.
It only works out as a time saver for people doing more than 3 dragons. And it's only a time saver of any significance for people doing a whole lot more than 3 dragons. This is just one of those things OCD people need to realize is their disorder and not everyone else's.2 -

The Senche-Raht’s run animation is clompy and it sounds horrible. The Ashen Scar pet is so tiny you can barely notice it’s there. The dragon armor is meh. The lore tablet is meh. The only thing I’ve used is the cat contemplation emote.
No reason to get collectors over normal imo. I feel like I wasted my money.

It only comes with summerset and morrowind if you buy the full game.
Players that already have the base game need to buy the upgrade, which does NOT come with previous chapters. The upgrade costs 25 euros

Elsweyr has been out for 2 months, I am done farming dragons for recipes. All I am doing today is actually the daily on all my alts for the motif pages and being able to hit 3 dragons is a time saver for everyone. Killing 2 dragons at once is one less kill for everyone.0 -

This. They had a chance to persaude me to buy Elsweyr with 5.1 update, they have failed so hard that I'm unsubbed now
I'm here because I still have hope they will reverse some stupid changes like the cast time on selected ultimates... I love this game, but ZOS works very hard to make me quit, finally they're successful! Say no to Toxic Casuals!

The base Elsweyr edition has the map, and thats all you'd need.
What WOULD have made the collector's edition a value would have been a discount code to convert banker/vendor to the cute lil kitty versions for a much lower cost than buying an alternate of an already owned banker/vendor, but even that is a stretch.
